She says, -Race is used to categorize people who share biological traits that a society thinks are important. - This definition shows that race is not objectively -based- on immutable biological categories but on the mutable consensus of a present culture. Therefore race is not -based- on biology. Race is -based- on a cultural valuation of phenotypes. From her introduction it seems wrong to say that race is based both in biology and culture. It is defined in culture not biology. Therefore the biblical truth that there is only one race, the human race, and many cultures is true.
Next Step: -Ethnicities are socially constructed categories based on cultural traits that a society finds important rather than strictly biological traits. - This definition reveals that both race and ethnicity are have not objective metric. Both are based on societal sentiment. Ethnicity is a societal sentiment organizing cultural traits and race is a societal sentiment organizing biological traits. Therefore, when we break it all down the only organizing principle is people's opinions.
Next Step: If people do not believe the Gospel, what information is organizing their organizing principle. Put another way, what worldview is organizing their opinions. If we lose the worldview, metanarrative, that we are all equally sinners deserving God's condemnation, and we all must love, forgive, and serve one another as Christ did for the world, and that our virtue comes from his love and forgiveness to us, then our organizing principle which governs our societal constructs can be open to class warfare and power-trips by invoking racism and power struggles of drawing lines between artificial socially constructed divisions that tear us apart.

-Mrs. Carscourse if being light-skinned born in England you are considered white oh, am I correct? However what makes the individual light skin come? Because it is extremely infinesmaal probability that two caucasians can produce a light skinned child. Is there any sound references supporting the non melanation of both his parents?
You also mentioned that the 1 drop of blood concept was no longer true.
Light-skinned it does not mean transparent or white. And if I so, wouldn't this mean individuals who are light- skinned it qualify for the status of being white even if you dark brown instead of light skinned. JIS

Scientifically race isn't a thing because of how race is distinguished based on the arbitrary genetics and ethnics to categorize people. Blue-eyed people have different behavioral tendencies than brown-eyed people, but we don't categorize two white people with different eye colors as a different race or different ethnicity. Doing so based on the skin of a human is just an arbitrary social construct. That being said, there are practical reasons for a sociologist to categorize different races and ethnicities but they are based on the status quo division of these people.

There is talk of 'group disadvatage' for certain groups.
But how can you differentiate between culture and race?
For example you are way more likely to do well in life financially if you finish school, marry before having children and get a job.
Some groups do this less than others, does that mean that they are 'disadvantaged' or are they just as a group, underperforming?
One reason for underpeformance is for example like you mentioned less access to education.
Could someone eleborate on this?

3: 43 Not any country in the Americas south of the United States is Latinoamericano. For example: Surinam, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas, Barbados, St. Kitts & Nevis, etc are not Latin American countries because they use germanic languages as English and Dutch in the case of Surinam as their national languages. Haiti is a Latin American country because they use French as their national language which is a Romance Language or a LATIN based language.

Even in real life, it just feels like we're not important enough in these issues to be aknowledged.

Race is genetics and ethnicity is the group you belong to. America has been effectively ethnically cleansed by its government which is the smallest ethnicity in America; business. And predator business has historically had a hard time dealing with a moral homogeneous people so as of 1965 they thought they-d do away with it hihi: )

Why can't anyone talk about race without any bias? on one hand you have these PC liars saying that race doesn't exist and then you have the Nazis on the other calling Hispanic a race, so far only Sarah Tishkoff and DNA kit companies are objective.

I think this video would be tolerable if the woman slowed down. If you want people to understand and listen, you need to slow down when vomiting information. Or else it goes in one ear and out the other and your audience loses interest.

huh, it's funny how in America, there's so much classification on races meanwhile in Asia, people don't really assert themselves on races even though they're more diverse on appearances.
We're just -Asians. -
