Getting closer and closer to finishing the Loft Rob: Great job on these vids, I started watching for the yurt build and stayed for the off grid living. Just a little constructive criticism, those other dudes are right about the concrete though, I noticed in earlier vids you were mixing it way too wet. Mix it more dry. Also probably too late now, but after doing all that work on the loft timbers I think you should really take out those rods and notch the supports with the horizontal timbers. If you want to use lumber for the floor you could notch the timbers so they aren't seen from the side and use good looking wood to cover. Maybe you just did that temporarily? Looks odd having everything else look rustic then you see 2x4s and plywood on the loft. I think you should scrap the 2x4s and cut some more timbers for the floor joists. I'm sure you did the lumber for some reason not mentioned though, but it wouldn't hurt to heed some good advice from others on construction. I'm no expert, but that's not a great way to construct a loft. That being said I think it will be fine. I seriously doubt all those logs going into concrete in the ground are going to shift or collapse, but I've seen weirder things happen with better structures than a yurt. You might get some cracking or other issues in a bad freeze though, which could lead to some strange things happening. Gotta admire anyone getting the job done.

-_I find it incredibly amazing how at every sunset, the sky is a different shade which constitutes each time a new masterpiece view of a unique and singular beauty. Similarly when I think about experiencing a beautiful woman, it's who must possess a certain naivety of the world. and be carefree in a way that is impossible for a man to understand her. Her beauty is par excellence a magical melody that delicately lulls you into a dreamland. It's heavenly when the sun-flecks on the water dances and swims all about her. The sky blue strengthens slowly, the dawn light rosy and pale, the summer song of their romance begins to unveil. _-

I'm sure there are those in your viewing audience who will term you two the Laurel and Hardy of the construction industry. You've built something we call a -Rube Goldberg contraption-. This is a left handed compliment. Sure, it'll work, you've proven that, but will it stand the test of time? And, will it remain functional? I hope so.

If you put the water drain directly to the tank, youre going to get so much rubbish in it, make an overflow branch on your pipe and put that into the tank, like 2 parallel tubes, one long with a valve at the bottom, another branching out from the top and bringing much cleaner water to your tank

I see lots of comments about the shirtless thumbnail. If it works, I say go for it. AND it obviously does work (100, 000) times. Nichole is easy to look at and a good worker. I say you are lucky to have such a great partner. Don't worry about the negative comments. If you got it FLAUNT it.

I really like your off the grid Yurt. I subed and I'll watch your Yurt construction videos next. How cold does it get there in the winter is the question? Will you have to bring in food or will you be able to live off of the things you grow in your garden?

what are your plans for insulating under the yurt and adding a skirt to the Yurt? I love your build. I lived off grid for 3 years in Alaska and would go back to that life in a minute, but I love my wife more and she does not like the cold, Lol.
