Hi Scotty, on 13th gen f150 prior to 2019 you can use FORSCAN app to tell it that you changed the battery, also you can change like I did from 800cca flooded lead acid to AGM, but this one is 930 cca but I check it regularly and used to plug it in sometimes to see if it would charge much, but it charges fine after changing that variable in hexadecimal w/ forscan and the smart battery system in the truck maintains it very well.

so i drive a 2000 buick lasabre and it has a few problems. If i don't drive it for like a week the transmission will slip really bad and have delayed shifts and once i start driving it for a while it wont slip as bad or will not at all and when i first got the car it wouldn't slip unless i drove it in the city for long periods of time. could it possibly be faulty shift solenoids perhaps or any other suggestions anybody?

My 28 year old Volvo 740 has 378, 000 miles. First major problem was the head gasket at 376, 000 miles. While I was in there I replace just about everything. My tranny is shifting hard. Should I replace/repair if it goes out? Im a man of relatively good means. Its an Aisin transmission. I think the motor and body can go for a long time. Its all in great condition now except the tranny.

Hey Scotty Im not too far behind u in age, like your videos, and some have been beneficial, the ones that deal with the Diagnostic, computer talking to other computer(s) to find the problem, makes me dislike todays automobiles even MORE, but that might because Ive driven an 18wheeler for over 25yrs(hahaha)thanks for the videos I will RENT a car when I need one not BUY one

Scotty, I once had a 06 Ford Focus. already a bad story just based on the car i know. However while driving I started hearing a clunking noise from the rear passenger tire. When I got it up in the air and looked at it with a friend it turns out the bearings FELL out at the BARE MINIMUM touch. What in the world could cause that besides it being a Ford and worse a Focus?

Dear ScottyI have a 91 ford ranger xlt 4. 0l v6 and when i go past 55 it will vibrate aggressively. The rpm drops between 500 and a thousand rpm consistantly and i have to rev the engine to fix it which smoothes the ride. Its supposed to have a new trans and a new computer. One person said its electrical another said its a weight imbalance in the tires. Help?

I often think of mortality as something that will happen in a more abstract sense. Sadly for me I lost a friend two weeks ago so those words had a bit more impact than usual. But they are true and it comes to all of us sometime. In my case, believing in God, I have sought his mercy so my post-life situation is what it should be.

Go to the Junk yard and get a transmission. I have gambled buying things from the junkyard. One time I got a 5. 0 liter engine that worked like new. I would recommended staying away from electrical stuff. I also got a semi decent transmission for the same engine. It worked OK but it gave me enough time to save up for a good one.
