It sounds like you are saying weak transmission is just another way to say transmission that fails a lot. Sure, but a particularly weak transmission usually fails by being unable to handle the load without slipping. They dont engage and transfer all the force they are supposed to under expected loads or they wear out faster with heavier loads. They cant handle it. That makes them weak compared to a transmission which can handle it.

Scotty is right. Datsun and Nissan pre 2000 Renault were good cars. although the Maximas manual shift always had a problem with the synchro 1st to 2nd gear. Regarging Renault--my friend had one, they had the water pump inside under the dash, she endured 3rd degree burns, sued for a lot of money

Hey Scottty huge fan but anyways I've been trying to help my dad with his dodge Dakota 2003 v6 it keeps shutting of some mechanics say the gas isn't pumping some say it's a hose some said put sea foam but it keeps having the same problem every time the car starts stalling you have to put gas

how the heck did Nissan end up in Fiats box of marbles. The late 80's 90's Hardbody pickups and pathfinders were as reliable as Toyotas and only had a slightly harsher ride. The older Maxima v6's were awesome too. sad

I wish that Dodge or Nissan would merge with Toyota or Honda. It would hopefully bring the quality up a little bit. But not if they would axe the charger, challenger, and ram.

Evap emissions big ripoff here in ct. Po442, po456, po448 now po447 1500 dollars spent so far. Moving to florida no emissions no utra high taxes. More taxes coming.

Crappy brands merging together. The old Nissans were great and reliable like the 1992 Nissan Sentra, I've seen them with over 300, 000 miles and still running great.
