DONT DRIVE AROUND IN AN UNREGISTERED CAR!
some dumbass mate did it, in a Nissan pintara, with Toyota camry plates. netted him over a tousand in fines and 6 months disqualification.
there are some states like south Australia and Tasmania who DO NOT require roadworthys until it goes passed 3 months since the rego expired, but really its not an excuse.

Least we don't have to worry about vehicle safety test in New Jersey here in the US, My car is prob as bad as this with the front end bodywork held on by ducktape & zip ties but it's 100% street legal as long as it passes a smog test and then its good for over 2 years. My cars airbag warning light and batt light was on and it still passed, though my brakes are meh but better then the car they showed

I'm seeing a lot of videos where you're jacking a car up from the front/ back, not the side which is allowing you to put axle stands on. Now I know this is basic, but could you guys do a quick video of safe jacking/ axle stand points? I'm worried about putting them in the wrong places and making a hole in my MX5! I think this would be hugely helpful to a lot of guys out there. Thank you in advance!

I saw that you clamped the brakecaliper hose. To avoid damaging the hose you can use a trick that I have learned.
Push the brake down around half way and then let it go back a little bit NOT ALL THE WAY UP. Secure the brakepedal with something so it stays like 3/4 way up.
This makes a vaccum in the brakelines so the oil don't get out

UK and Australia are so anal about registration and safety inspections. A clunking cv axle or your power steering pump whining will fail inspections. in the US at least unless its something really bad like a brake fluid leak or tires that are bald, you will pass if the cv boots leak grease. great video btw

antinormality yeah he says thighten the drive nuts tight but then he also says refit and use the cotter pin. The best way to properly tighten drive shaft nuts is to use a torque wrench to tight to the vehicle specifications then back it off only enough to get the cotter pin thru the nut.

You guys mentioned degreasing the engine bay, can you make a quick video on how to Properly degrease an engine with out damaging anything vital or serious?

It's so so SO much easier to just unbolt the strut mount and tip the spindle assembly forward and down rather than mess with the ball joint. You'll just need to have the alignment checked once you're done if there is an eccentric bolt in the strut.

Also, when using brake fluid, always have a 600ml bottle of water handy. If the fluid spills/splashes on paint work or alloy, rinse immediately with the water. Will mostly stop the brake fluid eating paint or staining the alloy. ;)
