Learn how to turn off your airbag light and fix a horn that doesn't work by replacing your clock spring. Replacing a clock spring is very simple, saves us over 600 and takes less than an hour. I will show you how to safely remove the airbag and steering wheel so you can replace the clockspring at home using common hand tools. To figure out I had a bad clock spring, I used an obd2 scanner to scan the airbag light and got codes b1801 and b1811 which is an open squib circuit, which means the clock spring is bad. Another way to tell the clock spring is bad is the horn doesn't work and/or the steering wheel buttons don't work. OBD2 Scanner (BlueDriver)

Hello, My 2011 Nissan Altima 2. 5 was involved in an accident. Airbag got deployed. I have changed the airbag and front seat belts. But, still have the airbag light on! Do you know what else do I need to change? please let me know if I could use your help with this problem. Thanks a lot in advance

My horn wasn't working and I had an airbag light and it turned out to be both the clockspring and the horn.
Also you can pull the codes by jumping the obd2 plug and getting it to cycle through the codes by flashing the ABS light. each car has a different way of doing this.

Thanks alot for that Video man! Took us a long time to figure out why the horn and all the buttons on my grandmas steering wheel won't work. The Mechanic shop couldn't find the problem either. I'm gonna try this now and see if we get lucky: ) Greets from Germany

15: 10 the combination of threadlocker (or anti-seize) with a torque wrench is a bad idea; because both provide some initial lubricant, you end up with a higher compression than what the same torque would have applied to dry parts

ChrisFix I have a 2015 Prius and my horn keeps going off at random times. Would you recommend replacing the clock spring? My airbag light isnt on. Everything else is working fine. The horn is just randomly honking really loud.

Memories that Chrisfix cut out the old leather and recovered the whole steering wheel the leather or the edge is all crack and faded and use the steering wheel puller and now Chrisfix has access to the clock spring 10: 00

Why is there no video for changing your airbag? Is ChrisFix against changing our own airbags? Thinking about buying a car for very cheap but the airbag has been blown. And thanx to Chris, I can fix everything else

I'd like to recommend you that it'd be better and safer to pull the orange safety tab from the clock spring after you reinstall the steering wheel, so it wouldn't be a headache to line it straight
