There's a lot of other things that you don't know about the bug spray that you're not explaining the bug spray is just a foundation part there's other methods you use afterwards that make your lights clearer. The whole point of doing this is to save money buddy. And that's not what your understanding, everybody knows that you can take it somewhere and have it cleaned the right way genius, but why pay that money when you can use off and along with some other methods and you're done. But this is an argument that can go on for days there's people on both sides of the aisle great job making a video and making money off it. That's basically the only thing you're doing because everybody who knows anything about anything knows that you're not making sense.

I used this method on a 2003 Camry and various makes of car. It works great. two months later-still clear headlights. I never had a problem with it removing paint or clearcoat. As far as caution during application, you may wanna pop your hood and tape off the rest of the area. You can apply it then let it sit for one minute at the most, do not let it dry. Then wipe off as much as you can. Reapply and repeat the process. But dont use soapy water on the headlights until after its completely dry. If you get any on a painted surface, you can ofcourse you soapy water to clean it up.

I totally disagree. First off, you remove it or tape it off. Secondly, you only need to spray it once. As soon as it clouds up you start buffing it with a dry rag like cotton. Change the rag to a dry rag when it get gunky. (Blue shop towels work too) Continue to buff until it's completely dry. It is key to get it buffed out immediately. After your done coat it twice with Meguiars Keep Clear Headlight Coating. Do not use automotive paint clear coat. It won't last. It is designed for paint. Total time is 5 minutes max and you saved a lot of time and money.

Ill try the toothpaste though for headlights. Thanks again.

Just an FYI, this is what the bums and whino's used to do in Cali when people were stuck in traffic, or outside grocery stores. They'd spray the entire can or 2 into a regular spray bottle to hide what they were using. A quick 2 min. scam and they'd get 5-10. Do that for several hours and you're looking at covering your cost for 2x bottles of Deet and the rest is gravy. if by grazy you mean cheap alcohol or drug of choice.

By the way I was in a car club at one point in my life and I seen a guy doing it to his headlights and then I tried it, going from a 440 grit all the way to a 2000 grit(which I dipped in a cup of water to finish at the higher grits) but afterwards i used a clear coat spray paint in a can to seal it. It can last for months before fadeing again. Florida sun is no joke on anything exposed to it.

I use bug spray as the first phase, then wash/rinse completely. Next I use M105, then M205 with hand buffer pad. The last phase is the UV protectant wax - usually Griots Garage Finishing Sealant. The results are very presentable good and it seems to last. The bug spray takes off a lot of the faded plastic and I found it is more effective than wet sanding.

Yeah so after you use that (I use sand papers from a low to high grit) you should use I plastic spray paint clear sealer to keep the clearness of the headlight. Just a little heads up my brother.

I cleaned the headlight covers on a 2008 Toyota Solara about three years ago with DEET. Completely clear today with no degradation of surrounding paint. I did apply to a cloth rather than spray.
