I have a v6 front wheel drive Mitsubishi 380 (Australia) in the US they call them a Gallant.
They have one main engine mount, one main transmission mount & two smaller engine roll mounts that sit front & rear of the engine in about the about center of the motor.
Now, when the small front or rear roll mount on the engine center cross-member breaks the transmission feels like its slipping in drive. When I put in the new mount it drives great again. Funny thing is that there is not much difference in engine movement with a new or broken mount, and not enough to stop it from driving you would think. But No, she wont go anywhere until you replace the offending roll mount. Its a crazy car at times.

Hiya, I'm a huge fan and wondering if you, or someone reading this could help.
I have a ford fiesta 2008 1. 4 tdci and as I accelerate, there's a single clear KNOCK sound from the front of the car. this knock happens while driving through 1st-3rd gear but not on 4th or 5th. there's no juddering, feedback that can be felt or vibration, but it's as loud as if someone was hitting the inside of the bonnet with a hammer.
took it to 2 mechanics and they can't figure it out, but both say it sounds like it's coming from behind the dashboard, but neither were willing to find it out and said it's fine to drive as it is.
Please help!

HELLO! I am desperate to find light for my case. I have a 2000 ford expedition Eddie Bauer with the 5. 4 Triton V8 Engine. When I take curves to the left, and when the body of the vehicle leans to the right, I can hear and feel under my feet, specially in the front passenger side of the vehicle a tapping sound, like if something is knocking below the floor upwards, What can it be? I have changed suspension parts like struts, shocks, upper and lower control arms, ball joints, front sway bar bushings and nothing has fixed the knocking sound. I am very worried. What can it be? Thank You. Hope you can help me.

2001 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Just got the car when I test drove it I thought it was just wheel balance but when driving the car home it feels like tires out of balance but when I let the gas off it goes away. The seller had mentioned the person that fixed the exhaust said it needed a motor mount would that cause my symptom?
It's not a real violent vibration or anything again feels much like a tire out of balance.
The car only has 103, 000 mi on it.

Hey Chris my 2013 Ford Taurus SE 3. 5L was just in the shop for a water pump, timing chain, and cat change. The engine had to be removed and taken apart. I come in the shop and see a code for misfiring on cylinder 5. And when I put it in reverse the car is grinding when the accelerator is pressed only not when rolling in reverse. The mechanic says its a motor mount but Im afraid something else is wrong. Can you please advise.

I know this video is pretty old but I need assistance. I just replaced motor mounts 3 months ago but unluckily hit a pretty big bump pretty hard. Ive found out my dogbone mount (vw mk4) is the cause. Do you think it would be okay to replace the bushings only? Nothing looks bent/torn but Im assuming its just the rubber bushing as the mount is practically new

Thank you for posting your videos. My 2003 Honda Accord shakes like crazy whenever it is in Drive but sitting still. I just replaced all the motor and transmission mounts. It never shakes when in Park, but only when the car is in Drive and I am completely stopped. What do you think the issue is?

can a bad transmission mount cause knocking or rattling noises when going over bumps or ridges in the road?
theres a weird noise coming from front driver side, replaced struts and its still there
my mechanic further checked and said transmission mount collapsed

How would you diagnose it if you have a manual gear shift? My car is a bit noisy/vibrates in low rpm, it does drag to one side when driving. Tried replacing spark plugs but they were sort of OK already. By the way your videos are awesome!

A few days ago I heard a clunk sound when my car(Toyota Aurion 2007 150. 000km ODO) switched from reverse gear to driving gear. It feels great now to know what to fix. It's really helpful video. Thank you SOOOOO much Chris. Cheers!
