How to use a Torque Wrench
video description
I'm not confident in my torque wrench. Is it because it's a cheap Taiwanese wrench? I'm confident I set it properly.

May I ask, my 1/2 drive torque wrench minimum setting is at 20lb-ft. My lug nut manual says 18lb-ft, Can I still use it by setting at 20 then go back backwards 2 notches? Will it still works or be precised?

Dont drop or bump the wrench! Thanks. I usually keep my tools like this in a bucket of bang around, didnt think the spring would be that sensitive. Probably saved me a trip to spec restorer

Good simple explanation. You should always turn it back to 0 setting when not in use though, as the pressure will put the calibration out over time.

There is a nut on the bottom of the torque wrench. After I tighten the nut, how come I can still adjust the torque wrench to a different setting?

Another thing to add is to wind the torque setting all the way down when storing to take unnecessary pressure off of the internal spring.
