Good tip to look after the numbers on the bearings to know what kind of bearing or part you need. But i think you should add that this implicates that you have to have the possibility to let the trailer stay on jackstands or that you have to reassamble the old parts till the new parts arrive.
I dont know how fast shipping in the US is but i dont think that it will arrive in one day especially if you do it as a private person and not as a professional workshop.
Speaking of ordering parts. i guess it would have been interesting to know where to get the right leaf springs. I mean bearings are normally standardized but leaf springs is another level if you cant find anything from the maker of the trailer.
Yeah it is picky but since i learned how to work and maintain my cars myself and i like to go above and beyond (you can ask yourself where i got that from; ) i really notice these kind of details because i think they are crucuial to get the work done properly. And maybe. just maybe because i am a Mechanical engineer in general mechanical engineering with courses taken in automotive engineering in germany. '
But otherwise im glad that you came back with a new video. I really like your videos, and they inspired me to maintain my vehicles myself.

There’s one detail you didn’t mention or maybe it just doesn’t apply to the store you go to. When you rent a tool, you actually pay the full price of the tool upfront. But once you return it, you get your money back. Basically, it’s like a deposit. I thought it was free at first, but then I realized you have to pay for it upfront. I actually got a little embarrassed one time when I had to rent a pilot bearing removal tool to change the clutch on my brother’s ’94 V6 Mustang I told the cashier I’d be right back because I had to go get my brother’s money for it, I wasn’t ready to drop the cash myself

Great video. But you left out a few tips. When you order tires online and get shipped most likely the side walls are collapsed on the inside and then when you install the tire you can get the bead to seat. Two tips I do. I get a inner tube and put the inner tube inside the new tire and inflate the inner tube and let the tires sit a few days with the inner tube stretching the side walls back out also another tip if you can’t get the bead to seat you can put a racket strap around the tire and tighten the racket strap and forces to bead to come out, and you can set the bead on the rim

scrapers need to see this video if only for the manual tire tools. i saw that and thought that would have been so useful when I was a scraper, not only could i make money from the metal but the tires, cut up, can be recycled, example nail to wooden panel to create nesting locations for chickens, small tires in half, larger tires as many pieces as possible while not being too small. although 50 isn't bad it might be something to save up for

Hey Chris you might want to take a look at aircraft tire valve stem removal tools. It keeps the valve core from shooting off in a random direction and still allows you to fully deflate the tire. It works by screwing on to the outer threads of the valve and the top of the tool spins the inside to remove the core. Once it’s done deflating you can remove the tool and the core.

Nice video. Reminds me of building my drag racing Roadster in 1995. My grandfather said to always put a little grease in the hub center because heat will melt it and feed the bearings. Anti-corrosion is always good too! I pack bearings using the palm method even though I have a bearing packer because, well, it’s just more satisfying. :)

It’s nearly 10 months into the year and this is only the second actual video and there’s STILL no turbo Del Sol video It’s been 2350 days now that’s 6. 4 YEARS! I really believed him when he said this year would be different, I’m not mad, it’s all love, just disappointed

Hey Chris fix I seen the video of a red Honda u got free from your neighbor I have a problem with my 99 Honda accord it starts when cold and turns off after 10 minutes even if it's driving or in park starts starts right up every time when cold is there any advice u can give

In regard to the commenters saying they don’t have a trailer or a boat, I don’t either. But now I have this knowledge so if I even need to do this work I will have some idea of how to do it. That’s the point to me. Amazing video Chris. I hope the moving is complete!

Chris i have a quick question, will the turbo install video come I also know that you can be getting sick of people trying to get you to release the video when its not edited properly, its up to you whether you want to say and i can wait quite a long time for it.

Well i have a drivers licence for almost 3 years, my own car and watching ChrisFix i have changed my own antifreeze and expansion tank in Skoda Fabia 1. 4 MPI and how to change my own tires, and learning every time something new so thank you ChrisFix.

Only thing is that maxing the tyre pressure isn't recommended.
Try to find the actual recommended pressure for the weight you have on it. Can be found on forums or by calculation if it doesn't say on the trailer

If you spent the money on getting the tire fitting jig, might as well cough up and get the tire balancer as well. It's basically an add-on for the tire jig. It's old school, but it gets you very close if you're patient.

Great video as always! But, your info about tire weight rating is slightly wrong. 92/88 does not refer to single/double axle, but single/double tire. If you have a single tire it's 92, if it's dual tires it's 88: )

When driving in the new race and not having a correct size socket, i cut a slit in the old race so it is just a bit smaller than the new one and it gives a bit more surface area for a smaller socket.

Great video but I wish you talked about the DOT on the tire the dot gives you the week and year the tire was made which is good to know cause big box stores won’t touch tires after a certain age.
