Get 20% off Car Vertical using code Carwow: This is the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra! It’s a performance car from China that produces over 1, 500hp, despite being on sale in China for only 55, 000! With that in mind, is this the best value-for-money performance car in the world! Let’s take a closer look In terms of the design, there’s no denying the SU7 Ultra looks pretty striking on the road, especially in this yellow paint! Up front, it looks pretty aggressive with a large splitter and air intakes, while along the side, you’ll find carbon fibre sills and side mirrors. It’s also possible to get a carbon fibre roof as well! Around the back, there’s a huge wing and an electronically-controlled diffuser. So in performance car terms, it certainly looks the part! On the inside, the yellow and black two-tone effect from the outside continues. There may be a few plastic bits within the cabin, but these are easily offset with Alcantara on the steering wheel and roof, as well as carbon fibre on the centre console. There’s a rotating digital dial display, a large infotainment screen, and a huge heads-up display. All-in-all, it feels more high-class than a car that costs 55, 000! The entry-level Xiaomi SU7 comes with a single motor that produces 299hp and 400Nm. However, this SU7 Ultra comes with three motors, and they combine to produce an incredible 1, 548hp and 1, 770Nm - that’s around 500hp more than a Tesla Model S Plaid! So what do you think - is this the best car China has produced to date You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself! Huge thanks the people who helped us set up the drag race! 01. Price/value of something equals the money people are willing to pay. Look as Lexus LS vs S and 7 series in US market.
Rolex vs Tudor (it's sub.
02. Companies can not sell something more than it's worth in open markets/economies. They can not compete. That's reserved for isolated corrupt economies.
03. Rise of electric cars are somehow like Quartz era watches. They shook the industry but eventually mechanical watches were sought after and regained their place.
04. While quartz watches were cheap to buy and maintain, electric cars are not, especially in the long run. Their tires for instance.
05. Cars are not just about numbers. There is soul and there is heritage.

There's a reason why ships built in Japan vs China are substantially different it's Quality and long term reliability as I been on Japanese ships that are 12 years old that are in far better condition and operation than a 2 year old Chinese ship where there is substantial corrosion, hatch lids operate poorly, hydraulic and other mechanical, water leaks. The foreign seafarers particularly Filipino often buy a lot of electronics here in the United States even when a Chinese product due to better quality control and warranty here which says a lot considering the seafarers frequently are in China on cargo ships but don't want to buy directly because of the poor quality.

Europeans cannot modify a car and make it reliable at all, from mass production cars, limited number build cars and even aftermarket tuned cars. Nearly every time you have a tuned car on the show it blows up
Australia, known for the fastest skyline GTRs in the world, consistently run all night at roll racing and drags.
America known for reliable Chevy style motors with huge power.
European cars known for being over priced and unreliable.
Even though this cars made in China, id still class it as more reliable then a European car

Your favorite person makes come that has experience in all these cards like I tell people electric cars are for peasants I cannot handle going fast for a long period of time and you are not going to be a GTR tuned and if that Lamborghini was an automatic Alex from sheep racing he's Lamborghinis in Audi R8 hold records track doing under 7 seconds and a quarter electric cars are for peasants never trust anyone that owns electric car doesn't drink coffee or tea

Many modern European vehicles now rely on Chinese-built digital platforms for their dashboards, infotainment, and connectivity systems. Core components such as display units, control modules, and even operating software are frequently sourced from major Chinese tech and manufacturing suppliers. In fact, the high-resolution touchscreens found in a number of premium European models are produced by Chinese OEMs that also supply global brands across the industry.

Im predicting a move of fossil car ban into the far 2040's. There is just no way we can compete with Chinese cars in price and it seems that the quality will also surpass our models. Also since most of the batterys are made in China, they are not going to give them first to europeans if the cars are at same price somehow. The only way to safe european car manufacturing is to make people by fossil cars, which we can still make.

Everything that I have ever owned that is made in China has a poor build quality, and a short lifespan. I don't want to put my life on the line, in a car like this. Could it change Perhaps, but it will take time. Japanese cars were once refered to as Jap crap, however today Japanese cars a synonymous with good build quality and reliability. China might do the same someday, but not right now.

Chinese state-own companies have benefited from the GM technology, eagerly given out by thr corrupt upper GM management. Coupled with the Chinese grip on global resources, the Chinese companies enjoy a crushing competitive advantage, and will burry European automotive industry. With one of the last industries gone, Europeans may well focus on growing potatoes

Why would you buy Chinese when we already buy to many Chinese products. Chinese cars, like all Chinese products, are heavily subsidized and managed by the Chinese Communist Party. China is not a friend or ally of the West. They are in a 100 yr. plan to being the world's leading controlling power. Do future self a favor and don't support China!

Please. Making a one off demo is not going to in Western cars forever, because there is no way they are going to mass produce a better, cheaper, equally reliable car that can beat Western cars, or European cars, forever, or even a little while, because the CCP is going to be heavily subsidizing it to cover actual cost.

Competition is good for us. The customers win. Manufacturers increase price at their own without reason, maybe sometimes but mostly they increase price without reason. Xiaomi back in the back when got into the smartphone business, made everyone decrease price to compete with them. Win win for the customers.

Sorry but this can do no shyt to eu cars.
This is a very low quality car. low quality of materials, low quality of driving dynamics. And most importantly, it goes if it wants to go: )
The only thing this and most of the Chinese cars do better is software. EU brands has to catch them in that terms.

I wish I can paste the video of Lei Jun visiting Nurburgring when the SU7 did the laps, before the lap, the team were having a drink in the pub, Lei Jun casually joking to the team, he said: if we break the record first time making a car, the actual value of the past record isn't very high.

What a waste of money. You cannt get much shopping or luggage inside it and who wants to do 0- 60mph time like an F1 car. Most people wold not have the reaction times to cope. It might be a touch cheaper than a Porche Taycan but still too bloody expensive. No thanks.

a jetsons sound for driving would be hilarious, i would like that as owned but also as spectator. give us some goofs in this world lol. great review, really like how items like these cars and architecture showcases the countries progress so well. love it.

This car shows how far ahead China has gone in the automotive industry. While we (or rather some of us) been lambasting China for copying stuff, their engineers worked hard creating products, including cars, that are simply better than the competition. Well done.

Keep pointing at stuff and saying 50. 000 pound car when it is clearly not the 50. 000 pound version of the car. It's not even 50k in CHINA let alone by the time it gets to Europe. If you said 100k car, I would bet money on it still being underestimated
reply

53k, family car, Nurburgring record, every college grad can drive one can you fk imaging the amount of crashes! Must be tariffed or banned! I saw few in Shanghai mall last summer and I almost cried walking away literally despondent I can’t have it

That badge in the U. K. will be a nightmare! . thieves gold mine literally! No deterrents here.
And the charging port needs to change for Europe. Can’t be limiting it from 500kw charging to under 200kw, because the need for an adapter!

The car is interesting as all the chinese cars but the questions never answered are: how will this car age Is it reliable the supply chain is comfortable these points are never faced in any of the typical car review videos i see
