Why the new Porsche Panamera is ALMOST perfect!

Change your car with Carwow: This is the all-new Porsche Panamera! Mat’s got his hands on Porsche’s latest family-friendly cruiser to see what’s changed compared to its predecessors. What’s more, he’s also going to see if it has what it takes to go head-to-head against competitors like the Audi RS7. Let’s take a closer look Starting with the design, this new generation of Panamera is easily the best-looking to date. Up front the design borrows elements from the latest Cayenne, has some smart creases along the bonnet, and any vents integrated into the bumper serve a real purpose. Along the side, proper door handles have replaced the pop-out ones from before, and the wide rear haunches give the car more presence on the road. The rear end has been slightly redesigned, but it’s still unmistakably a Panamera. All in, it looks seriously smart and sophisticated. The style and quality continue through to the interior as well. Soft-touch, high-quality materials throughout the cabin, and the infotainment screen is crisp, sharp, and responsive. The digital dials are customisable and bright, and there’s ample adjustment in the seats to offer the perfect view out. There may not be too much storage around the front of the cabin, but when you’re in a car this nice, does it really matter The entry-level Panamera is powered by a 2. 9-litre V6 turbo that produces 353hp and 500Nm. There are various pure ICE and hybrid models throughout the range, all the way up to the range-topping Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid, which combines a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor to produce 782hp and 1, 000Nm of torque! As for the price, the Panamera range kicks off from around 89, 400. However, if you’re in the market for one of the V8-powered cars, this kicks off with the GTS, which starts from 131, 700, rising all the way up to around 175, 000 for the range-topping Turbo S e-Hybrid! So is it worth it You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself! Matt, you’re not in manual mode, that’s why the gear didn’t bounce off the limiter. You need to press and hold the gear lever down into D to get the car into M (M only, not D/M, which what you did and is a temporary manual mode that you access when you pull a paddle, but the car returns automatically to automatic mode after 5 seconds without using a paddle or when you hit the limiter. Happy to help with your future Porsche reviews. There is a ton of information as the cars are extremely customizable, but as a result, you often spread some misinformation, unfortunately, even though overall the review remains good.

It looks nice, but probably has the same collision control as the new cayenne, which tried to stop in the middle of the road when nothing was there and also tried to drive me off the road a few times. Whoever is building their collision systems and driving assist needs to be fired. And while they can’t figure out why it sucks so bad they need to add a feature to permanently disable these garbage sensors. Add a permanent disable for start/stop too. Thanks Porsche!

What amazes me is no one discusses how long the battery lasts how many tyres you go through per year it’s like taking a petrol or diesel car to a builders yard and throwing in 1 tonne of cement into your car, absolute madness this electric car s are people want a V10 petrol or diesel not a 2 tonne electric car where your panicking how long you have left Can you drive to the coast and back without stopping for a charge.

I’mm surprised these exotic cars still in business with such high taxes. It literally costs an average car a year just in taxes, not to add up the initial price of the car, along with high depreciation and expensive spare parts.
Our governments just want all of us to abandon reliable cars altogether. Big engine->more miles and less polution in dead cars at the junk yard

. once you've had the car for 10 or 20 years. - I would love to come back and watch an interview with the mad bastard who keeps a mid-2020s high-end luxury hybrid sports sedan for more than a decade after his warranty expires and after (I predict) you will have to start paying a MASSIVE surcharge to register a petrol-using private vehicle.

Along the side, proper door handles have replaced the pop-out ones from before.
The Panamera never had pop out door handles in the first place. Also I know it's supposed to be a new generation, but the doors are carried over fron the 2nd generation model. This looks more like a heavy facelift instead of a redesign.

Had Panamera 4 2. 9 V6 in October so lived with it for 6 months. Without doubt probably the best car I have ever owned and that’s a few. Just everything it does it does well. As an ex 911 owner it’s actually not a million miles away in performance. Can’t praise it enough.

I hated the Panamera idea but I have to confess that I have been defeated: almost every single super car manufacturer now makes SUVs, four seaters, to keep older people with them Well, anyway, I kinda like the Panamera now, because I’m part of the older people

I wish you had focused more on the features of the new air suspension that can be controlled from a mobile phone.
And talk about how comfy the new air suspension is on the speed pump and the bad road and how this suspension reacts to different situations.

Mat this might be the biggest idea i might have think of, the idea is: Racing all the fastest cars from pickups to f1 and Sports cars from each vehicle from each video, race them and test their strength and see who is the strongest fastest and weakest and slowest

Hi matt and crew, all these adverts us car guys n gals get about oversold car finance, can we get a short or a video about that Very unusual but I'm sure 99% of us feel it's a scam and would love some clearance on the issue. Thank you

Dare I say the 2nd generation is best looking I like the 1st gen as well.
The 3rd gen is again very sharp looking but that extra, top center grille inlet section, above the num plate, they shoulda avoided that

For me the Porsche Panamera is the most underrated super saloon.
But for me is the best all the others hide from it in driving dynamics and finish.
Mat get it as your long-term tester to replace Audi RS7

3: 27 poor europeans, car companies charging you for options. In China there is NO OPTIONS. Just 3 specs: low, medium and high, thats it! Nobody in China will buy new car without leather lol.

Petition for 'Carwow to have a little lable in the corner of the screen with l/100km for the rest of the European viewers when Mat is talking about fuel consumption. Thanks. .

8: 10 Hm, it's odd that this Porsche doesn't automatically move the seats forward for the back seats to drop down easily. My 2012 Mercedes CLS handles this case really well.
reply

You never gad a problem with any modern door handle till you slated Teslas and pretended you couldn't open it even though your previous video you opened it no problem
reply

The problem was never that the previous versions looked fat. It was that the rear was hideous. It's slowly gotten better looking, but none of them are good looking
reply

I don’t know how I feel about an electric Porsche. I feel like their engines are so good that there’s no real reason to substitute anything else for them.
reply

To lock the manual mode for the Gearbox you have to tilt down the gearlever for about a second and that’s it the car won’t pass gears for you anymore
