Yipes! A functional 60 some miles of range in the Honda! When my used Mitsubishi I-miev was almost 2 years old driving moderately I got an actual high of 90 miles on a charge. This is absolutely bizarre that Honda is not doing better on their battery range. If that's the case what people are actually buying is the presentation of digital access with all the different screens and admittedly better performance. They're not buying transportation. I guess I'd go with the mini if I had to choose between the two. And of course I'm keeping my Mitsubishi. That seems infinitely more practical. Plus it only cost me $12, 000.

You would think that after starting with a blank sheet of paper Honda would have made a better car. After starting from scratch they have come up with a car that has less performance, less range, less interior space, less boot space, less fun and at a higher price than the Mini. The Mini on the other hand has its electric elements added to the existing model, makes you wonder what the Honda engineers were spending their time on, multiple silly screens maybe?

What a load of tosh! They are not similar prices or ranges. You got other facts wrong as well, go back and check what you said about charging the Mini and its regen braking levels. Basically you chose the Honda to show you had gone electric when the Mini was a better car on all fronts. That Honda interior is terrible, screens looks old fashioned and wood is plastic. The flat buttons on the dash are impractical and it really is a case of form over function.

Probably one day we will have the infrastructure and a decent technology for the batteries. If there is an emergency or if you have to go immediately somewhere (f. e. hospital, or to pick up someone) let-s hope that the car is charged. For now, when I see 100 km range on my car (usually it happens once every two months, I-ll stop at the gas station. One more thing: what was wrong with traditional mirrors (especially that one inside the car?

I have an Honda e. Fabulous. It replaced 3 Mini JCWs. The reason you only got 65 miles on the e at 100% charge is because it is an auto journalist demo car - and you chaps all thrash cars. I can easily get 120 miles range. Which for me is fine. I calculated more than 95% of my journeys, I only do 50 miles. Correct decision over the Mini E. But that too is a fab car. Either will NOT disappoint: -)

I think we're in the early phases of all this interior car tech, and that in 10 years we'll look back and think -what the hell were they thinking- regarding the giant phone-inspired panels and off-putting rear view mirror field of view. Certainly some cool gimmicks right now, but I can't see this design style withstanding the test of time. Exterior of the Honda is brilliant though.

This guy is probably the worst car reviewer in the world! Who's leg did he hump to get the job?
Utter drivel. Honda looks the better product and knowing Honda will be the more reliable product. Just ask the thousands of recalled BMW hybrid drivers. Ridiculous how biased this magazine has become.

The plataform of the Mini is already paid so should be cheaper, on the other hand the Honda is a brand new car with much more to offer. The both of them are City cars the range are not good but they do the job. Thanks for this review I was waiting for this one.

27K doesn-t make any sense but keep trying to convince yourself. Boris and his wild dreams will both love you more. And Autocar has just come up with a new concept of fun driving: 1 pedal -driving-. very cool very fun. What an amazing driving experience

Remember never to trust the MINI GOM (Guess O Meter. It is woefully inaccurate. Mine claims 180km (111 miles) yet I recharge north of 230km (142 miles) with around 10% still remaining. It never learns. I ignore it now, other than to laugh at it occasionally.
