Every review I see of this car says the same thing. The engine is the let down. Such a shame as it looks great. However I don't understand why Hyundai just put the engine from the Kia Rio into this car. Why make a car that looks so sporty that has an engine that doesn't have much get up and go. I hear theres a turbo on the way but I think by the time it gets priced in Australia it wont be good value.

This car its made for a world who dosnt exists who needs a 3 door car? if you buy a small car like this one you are SINGLE, and no ones will sit in the back, of course except if you are going to an orgy. i still prefer the mini or the a1, ah and almost forgot it, here in brazil its cost about 32k euro.

People complaining with all the wrong reasons. The styling? 3 doors? Weak engine? NO. It's the handling. As long as it handles and gives you feedback, this would've been a great car. but no. Hyundai scrapped the idea of building a -good car- and went with the idea of building a -marketable car-.

I tell you something guys. I drive Hyundai Getz every day for 100 000 kilometers and it never broked! Every morning it starts in first try and its an excellent city car. Why? Because its short so its exremly easy to park. I like Veloster. But Im waiting for Veloster turbo!

i really like the design. I must say it's the cheapest head-turner car, but why is just 3 doors?
I always believe that design should be in harmony with its purpose, and I can't find any purpose in equipping that beautiful car with just 3 doors.

Look there is more to a car than racing and I hate that most of you so called -reviewers- seem to be only able to look at cars from 0-60 not features and comfort. I think it is a sign most need to retire because they think so 20th century!

I don't understand the point of the door system, if you can integrate it that well into the styling that you can barely notice the extra door on one side, whats the advantage of not having it on the driver's side too?

Yep, Scirocco for me too, I personally don't like the 2 and 1 door set up, why would you only put 1 door on one side and 2 on the other, pointless! 2 or 4 doors, make up ya mind.

Two things:
1. This car looks mean and would love to see it in full -GTI- spec
2. Did this guy forget about the Hyundai Coupe. The most recent one was quite good

-ogFIEND I'd say that depends on the particular country, in Australia the advertising in the early 90s pronounced it 'Hee-un-day'.
