Monstrous new Aston Martin Vantage Roadster reviewed - Autocar

The Aston Martin Vantage Roadster has always been one of our favourite drop-top performance cars, but the latest version is unlike any other that's gone before. That's because, in taking its lead from the recently launched new Vantage coupe, the Roadster now has 656bhp and an almighty contact patch to put it to the ground, as well as sophisticated chassis electronics. It promises to be utterly fierce, and Aston reckons it has truly minimised the dynamic compromises normally experienced by cutting the roof off a sporting coupe. Join Autocar's Richard Lane to discover whether that's really the case and whether this 181, 500 super-convertible ranks among the most charismatic Aston Martins of the modern era. Here's the specification, and for more, join us over at autocar. co. uk Price: 181, 500 Engine: V8, 3892cc, twin-turbocharged, petrol Power: 656bhp at 6000rpm Torque: 590lb ft at 2750-6000rpm Gearbox: 8-spd automatic, RWD Kerb weight: 1730kg 0-62mph: 3. 6sec Top speed: 202mph Fuel economy: 23. 0mpg CO2: 279g/km

Volume issues here, Mr Lane.
With respect to the car, it is far too heavy with an unnecessarily large engine.
Why are all efforts turned to impressing folks in Dubai rather than in Europe

Another rag top GT car, that the presenter doesn’t mention that you’ll be pushed to fit 2 toothbrushes and your phone charger in the trunk - for a weekend in Monaco.

Yet another video the proportion of time spent watching the driver far outweighs the proportion of time spent seeing the car. I'm interested in the car!

This is one of the dullest car review videos I’ve ever had the misfortune to click on. Such a pity for such a potentially exciting car.

Majority of us is here to see and hear the VEHICLE, not the presenter. Go be a model if you want the camera on you. Pathetic camera hogging.
