The 2024 Mustang Shows Us The Future Of Ford's Infotainment Systems

The 2024 Mustang debuts a new version of Ford's SYNC infotainment software with new hardware and the integration of Unreal Engine 3D gaming graphics into the mix. The result is a snappier experience with better graphics and more customization. And yep, it has the Fox Body graphics! autos: The fact that we're discussing how nice the infotainment systems are on cars shows how far we've drifted from the core functions of vehicles. Honestly, if analog gauges get the job done at a cheaper price, why are we so fascinated by tablet/screens in cars? I understand screens for navigation, the rest is entertainment.

interior does NOT look like a Mustang
it could be literally any random chinese EV
car interiors have never looked so similar, I am getting tired of this screen bs, who is impressed by cheap screens these days, boomers who are still not used to it? screens were modern 10+ years ago.
Edit: Also what's the point of having screens if you cant choose the way they look, less than ten choices, absurd. If you have a screen why not make it able to install hundreds of different graphics / styles to pick one you like (download on a pc and then install it with USB or whatever onto car)

I got a great deal on a leftover 2020 Mustang GT. Love the car.
I saw the new styling and decided I should make the effort to replace my GT.
Then I saw the screen and now this video ( which are always high quality.
My take: screen has features that are superfluous. Like piano black interiors I have no idea why the majority of car buyers love these features.
Nissan Z: I'll give that a closer look.

I've had four Mustangs- but I'm not sure that I'll be going for a fifth. Don't get me wrong; it's a nice car, and I'm glad it still has a V8.
It's lost it's 'analog' feel; it seems like all that's left is a series of screens. Unfortunately, that's the direction all cars are going in these days

big screens are obnoxious. too many simple things are buried in these systems. it shouldn't take minutes to do something a physical button can take of in a split second. they also distract drivers.

This has a lot of similarities to the Elantra which i have, and its a good setup. The customization Ford has here is really nice, much better than most other cars on the market.

When will people wake up? All these monitors, replacing buttons and gauges, are just COST CUTTING measures for the manufacturer. This is NOT automotive progress.

Love it, I have a Mach-E and wish it was this good. Side note: Is this preproduction cuz the way that whole button bank moved at 1: 47 was disconcerting

When are automakers gonna replace steering wheels with a screen displaying a round slider over an image of a steering wheel? Cant wait.

This is the kind of thing that wows you at the dealership but has no benefit in daily use. Cheap and easy to implement as well.
