You are the first person I have ever heard say they use the auto brake hold. Bravo! The first thing I also do is turn on the auto brake hold! This is the best invention since they put air conditioning in a vehicle. To me, the brake hold is the most important thing in vehicle, and it is almost never mentioned by vehicle reviewers.
Incidentally, I was just about to buy a 2026 GMC Arcadia and at the last minute I found out it didn't have auto brake hold, and the whole deal was instantly off. The salesman was not happy and couldn't believe I shut the deal down over this. He didn't even know what brake hold was. Unbelievable!
I cant believe that Chevy/GMC does still not have auto brake hold in their vehicles. Wow! If you spend 70, 000 on an Arcadia, or 100, 000 on a Yucon, you have to hold your foot on the brake all the time just like we did in 1960. I live in Phoenix and I would buy a vehicle without air conditioning before I would buy one without auto brake hold.

Auto Buyers Guide/Alex on Autos has always been a go to resource for auto shopping and comparisons.
It was the determining resource for my purchase of my 2016 Kia Sorento SXL. I've enjoyed that vehicle for 9. 5 years until the recent need to replace the engine( thankfully, fully covered under warranty. Now I'm shopping for a replacement and in spite of my recent disappointing experience with my Kia, continue to gravitate to the KIA Sportage Hybrid X Pro. My other considerations are the Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid, or a Subaru Forester Hybrid. More research required as the 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid has yet to be released for comparison. Appreciate your detailed reviews! You guys are a cut above the other reviewers!

I really appreciate the Kia & Hyundai Hybrids, but I really wish they would put a spare tire in them when selling in the States. Yes, it adds a little weight; but a spare tire is more important. I live in an area where the roads are poor and end up with a puncture at least once a year. The minute you use fix-a-flat in a tire, many shops will refuse to patch, only replace - including all three Hyundai and Kia dealers within 40 miles of me.

I prefer the front end design of the 2025. Regarding the steering wheel, it should be noted that they have flipped the controls. The cruise controls are now on the left for 2026 and the phone and volume controls are on the right like Hyundai. Personally, that's a show stopper because I've had the cruise controls on the right for the last 18 years and our other car has them on the right so I don't want to relearn how it works.

In my eyes, Hyundai Tucson is still winning the sibling rivalry. Kia wins on exterior styling, but I prefer the Hyundai interior. Two separate controls for media and climate. No guess work necessary. Shifter is on the column; simple forward motion to go forward, backward motion to go in reverse. No guess work.
Hyundai is definitely targeting the older demographic. I'm with it.

Travis, Gosh darn it! There is no 'debate' 15: 21 because far too many 'family focused' CUVs and sedans offer quantifiably LOUSY rear seat headroom. In vehicles in this size range with this mission statement, there is no excuse for substandard headroom
in the first or second row. After all, we ain't talkin' about the back seat of a sports car.

I really liked the look of the previous Sportage. The main complaint I hear against it was that there was too much going on design-wise, but there's a lot going on here too Not mad about it tho. I dig squares and hard angles and you dont see a lot of that anymore, everything is swoopy and smooth, but the Sportage has some delicious angles.

I absolutely agree! The change to the front doesn’t look bad, but it really has lost its uniqueness. I wasn’t a fan of it when it was new, but it really grew in me. This, the Sorrento, and Carnival now all look indistinguishable head on.

I have a 2023 SX Hybrid, and much prefer the style compared to this new model. It's a unique look. Overall love mine, but really displeased that there's no wireless Android Auto, since most of the rest of the world received a software update.

Best in class just got better
Rav4 has no chance bro. It couldn’t compete on the same level as this or really any other cuv. The only cuv Toyota could compete with is GM due to the low bar it’s been aiming for like GM

Sportage looks a wee bit more cohesive up front for 2026 but it seems Kia is really having a difficult time designing this vehicle. Last time the Sportage really looked nice was 2015.

This looks very competitive to Nissan Murano and Toyota Crown Signia, with equal hybrid mileage, real sunroof, and $10, 000 less than both.

Not much bigger than the Tucson hybrid with same powertrain. Barely usable third row seats. Bigger gas tank gives you more range.
