East of Douglas is the Slaughter ranch, home to Texas John Slaughter, a former Texas Ranger and sheriff of Cochise County. Old Bisbee is a picture town worth a night. Of course Tombstone you visited.
This is all part of the old Historic Route 80 which ran from Savannah, Georgia, all the way to San Diego, although it now ends east of Dallas.
A great part of America.

I live in Tucson and Elliott’s is one of my favorite spots in town! Great food, great drinks, great crew, great regulars, can’t ask for more than that. It really is your friendly neighborhood bar. Kukai, the place with the Japanese lettering behind you in the Mercado, is also fantastic.
You should have seen downtown on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night. It’s packed, everyone is there, and a lot more places are planned to be opened there soon. There’s still room for improvement, but downtown has come such a long way over the past 15 or so years. It used to be empty and dangerous, but the city has done an excellent job with it.

Remember the song Get Back by the Beatles Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona. Paul's wife Linda Eastman was from Tucson. She graduated from Univ of Arizona. They lived in Tucson during the winter months every year in a house they owned. Paul could just be a regular guy around the neighbors and folks that worked on his home. He liked to shop at Home Depot and other home type stores.

They have low lights that are yellow (streetlights) so that they do not interfere with the observatory and your ability to see the stars. Pretty cool. I’d be very interested to know your overall impression of America when you’re done. I think I know what you will be finding but we’ll see.

The Heated pool may only be heated by the sun. We found that out when we stayed in LA at the holiday inn and it said heated pool, heated by the sun not heated electrically. Still Tucson is Beautiful, sits in a valley and surrounded by majestic mountains.

I’ve considered moving to Tucson in the future. This video helped me think more positively of the city in general. From where I live, I realized it’s not as nice as it used to be when I moved there 25 years ago

We used to go to Tucson every year by train. We would hang out downtown for the Rock & Gem show and take the bus and tram to places. I like the place.
