Tombstone, Arizona - The Most Famous 30 Seconds In History (Gunfight At The OK Corral) The 80 is huge! Many roads where I live are rough and dusty washboard roads. I run low air pressure in my tires because of the roads. You stayed on the paved roads, but there are many roads in the area that are dirt roads around Tombstone. I have seen antalope in Tombstone so you have pay attention because your vehicle can get totaled if you hit one. I am viewing this video a year after it was published so you it appears you missed the Arizona Rangers Museum which opened in July 2021. The Arizona Rangers were officially formed in 1901 and patterned after the Texas Rangers, but better looking. Like the Texas Rangers, the Arizona Rangers serve the entire state.
Anyway, Im glad you had a good time and were safe traveling in Arizona.

What fun!
I love history, but Val Kilmer will forever be my Doc Holiday.
According to legend, Ed Schieffelin was briefly a scout for the U. S. Army headquartered at Camp Huachuca. Schieffelin frequently searched the wilderness looking for valuable ore samples. When friend and fellow Army Scout Al Sieber learned what Schieffelin was up to, he is quoted as telling him, The only rock you will find out there will be your own tombstone, or, according to another version of the story, Better take your coffin with you, Ed; you will only find your tombstone there, and nothing else. When Ed found the silver ore he was looking for, the rest is history.

I'm happy that y'all enjoyed this place.
When I visited Tucson, my sister and her husband were taking me there. All of a sudden a windstorm came up. Next can silver dollar sized rain drops. We headed back home. By the time we arrived about 30 minutes later there was snow on the ground. The next morning there was nearly 4 inches of snow. Kids were making snowmen with cactus around them. An amazing site. I never saw Old Tomb Stone. Now I have. Thanks for the awesome journey.

You should have gone to Boot Hill Cemetary and The Birdcage Theater. I think you would have enjoyed both places. I was there back in the mid 70s and had a great time then. I hope to go back and see how much it has changed. That being said I'm glad you enjoyed your time there. The place is a lot of fun and and there is just SO much history there and the people are really friendly.

Wow that street from the cowboy era is boss. America is best at preserving historical sites. In UK a lot of are old victorian era areas have been knocked down and replaced with modern buildings for homes and business. It makes me sad to see old interesting stuff being knocked down. It's over 100 years of history knocked down and the history goes with it to the tip.

I live in Los Angeles. LA should have reenactments of all the gunfights that take place here each week. They could let people choose the gunfight of the week. The city could make millions.

What a thrill to be at a history spot where you’ve wanted to go to for so long. I hope it lived up to everything you expected. I think it would be place worth going out of your way to see.

We got married there. In 1800s gear, including my 45lc. Those boardwalks are original. The Birdcage Theater is actually the one of the only buildings that didn't burn down.

From WA to Texas. I HAD TO go out of our way to see it! Loved every minute of it. Even stopped by boothill cemetery. I think they called it.

In this video the camera is a little jerky, enough to get sea sick! (what were you drinking that day) Otherwise fabulous!

I was very disappointed in the OK Coral; so contrived. No coral ever looked like this just ridiculous
