I work in the industry. Extended Stay is not a midrange hotel. It’s on the lower end of economy (in the extended stay segment. Maybe they were/are getting decent rates, but that’s just a reflection of the market, not where the brand sits on the food chain.

You should have shown the baseball stadium downtown and the interactive photo wall across the street from there. too bad there wasnt any of the electric trolleys going by. ohh and the mountain with the cross on top is in sunland park nm. dangerous to hike by yourself lot of criminals from mexico like to rob the hikers up there

Can recommend the Soluna Hotel in El Paso. $98 a night as of August '22 (we stayed there in October '18. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast. Can't speak to the gym though. Also the Scenic Drive, up past the police academy has great views over the city.

I like to see El Paso again, We my late wife and I were there in 93 it was much better then. Everyone knows about the Almo and everyone visits it I would rather see a bit about real downtown and Oscar Del A was good to see. Doug from the Netherlands

Many many years ago the San jacincto plaza was called Alligator Park, they had live gators in there. But my grandma says people were abusing them and eventually did away with it, that’s why there’s that gator statue in the middle.

The mural needs a donkey carrying coffee beans. Looks so dry in the area. Seeing some of the boarder towns that I’ve heard of all my life was really interesting being able to see them. I can’t believe how packed in the houses were.

Also, El Paso is the city where Pancho Villa was killed and where John Wesley Hardin killed a man for snoring. The mural of the man with his fists up and clenched was Pancho villa.

First of all that wasn't downtown that was El Centro lol also that first neighborhood you showed looks nothing like suburban Dallas because that's Segundo barrio

We drove through El Paso during our moving from Dallas to California in early 2003 & at first sight we thought we were seeing part of Mexico, but it was El Paso.

Lord Spoda, up the trail towards the hill where the dinosaur crossing sign is you’ll find dinosaur tracks fossilized on the rock.
