Join us for some bushcraft and fishing as we cook our catch over the coals outside the thatched roof saxon house. It's been 3 months since we have been to this woodland where our viking house and saxon shelter were built. We have more plans to further improve the saxon house, including more work on the interior of the shelter. Thanks for tuning in and feel free to subscribe if you want to be notified when we upload an episode

Wood Ants lol. Those ant piles are TINY compared to the ant piles weve got out here over here where I'm at. They can get as tall as 4 or 5 feet. Especially if they are in a protected area. So yea they are absolutely HUGE. Mike you could also turn on your subscriptions as well and do something with that. For the monthly paid subscriptions would help support as well. So theres always that option.

I would love to weather a snowstorm in a cabin like that.
Just imagine cooking a nice stew over a fire while the wind blows.
Sharpening my hatchet in the warm light of the fire
Singing songs
Maybe have 5 or 6 people total to tell stories and share the stew with.
You know what? I'll say it! I want to be the chief of a modern woodland tribe.

the problem with those lands is. NOTHING will grow there. the soil is so bad there, only grass and trees survive. its like living in the steppes or tundra.
and without growth of lots of plants wich you can eat you wont have a fun time there.

Can a ONE fire, all day, crock pot, one dish cooking approach work in the wild? I do this at home. The early cooked parts do for lunch bites, the rest is done at dark. Graze and sleep. Sunrise and repeat!

What if you made a little tea garden in the gap between buildings with different plants you could use. Mulching it would be a great use for all the woodchips you make during projects too.

Chumming in the U. S. A. is legal in certain states. It depends on the local fish and game regulations and what species of fish you are going after. Great videos, guys!
