My brother & I were living on a Kibbutz from 1972 to 1974. We visited Masada in in 73. We started up the path at about 3am & reached the top about 5am. All the way up my brother was complaining about the need to crap. I told that there was a WC at the top. On reaching the top the WC facilities were closed. With a cry he leapt over the edge & dashed down the pathway to the bottom reaching it in about 3 to 4 seconds it seems. Near the parked buses there was a WC cubicle whose door was locked. 2 seconds later he opened it. Sadly, he only farted. Later whilst in the Dead Sea I advised him not to break wind. He ignored my advice. The memory of his reaction still brings tears to my eyes. Ahh! The good old days.

I was in Israel just recently. It is not dangerous at all. I felt safe all the time and had a great time. It is not at all like you see in the news.
