Tim - You are right, saubraten is sweet/sour. The beef is marinated, and cooked, in usually red wine vinegar (sour, and then something sweet i added - usually raisins, or I used to make a brown cooking liquid/gravy thickened with gingersnaps, which also provided another bite with the ginger. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE my sauerbrtten, but CANNOT figure out why on EARTH they are serving it for Mardi Gras. The Brazilians stuff I get, because of Carnivale, but cannot figure out suerbratten at all. Not sure about a Trinidad/Tobago tie-in, 'd love to try that dirty rice cauliflower, looks interesting.

Could you please clarify something for me? I have the Disney Experience, I included my husband on it. DOES HE HAVE TO HAVE HIS OWN DISNEY ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO RIDE THE RISE OF RESISTANCE? Or will we still be able to join a group once we enter the park simply utilizing the one account?

Does anyone know if this is a separate ticketed event? Is it only for passholders? I will be at Universal from February 14th-18th. I am doing a stay and play package. I believe Mardi Gras is during my stay.

Imagine how upset my groups was that we were there from February 29th thru the 4th and did get the chance to see the parade. So we thought that we'd definitely see it on our trip next year. little did we know at the time.

I was so looking forward to picking up some mardi gras items at the end of the month. My husband and I got married last October, and were going to go there for our honeymoon.

Ooh very fun! On February 1st I bought an annual pass and I got to be in the front row of the first ever Mardi Gras parade this year.
