Getting the rechargeable card is very easy, just fo into any metro station and they will sell you one at the information booth. Upcharching can be done there too, it is per time slot, not per distance, but it is very easy to do. Also, this video is from 5 years ago, so perhaps the recent changes had an influence, hard to tell, but i found the people in restaurants, but also the other people i've met and talked to, very nice and warm and welcoming. No they won't come back to your table all the time, but in general in Europe they don't, so it's normal, and i hate the breath in your neck american type waiting. But they will talk to you with a smile, explain the menu, and have a talk if you yourself want that. Stockholm has been a fantastic experience, loved every minute.

I think ANY TRAVEL REVIEWS should just delete the critique of the climate / weather. because any normal intelligent person expects to find that data elsewhere, its not something in a citys control. Having said that it is valid to criticize the city which hasnt taken account into its own weather & how it handles those conditions.
-> for example I could complain that maybe there arent enough canopies or awnings along buildings for when its raining/snowy, or that the citys streets flood when rainy, because the city doesnt clean out, maintain storm drains enough, or any number of infrastructure lacks that dont address their preexisting climate/seasonal conditions.

Dude, it's not ok running around nude at public places, or at the beach. It might not be illegal, but people will still freak out at you. The only place where it might be acceptable to be nude is in the sauna. Maybe.
Also, don't compare swedish (or even european) service to american service. It's two different things. People working in service here will respect your privacy. They wont approach you as soon as you enter a store and they will not hang around your table at the restaurant. If you want help, you will get it, but you need to let the staff/waiter/whatever know that. Otherwise they will leave you alone. It's not bad service, it's just being polite.

Good and true points. Regarding the bus tickets, you could just download the app (SL in Stockholm's region) and fill it with some money and just use your smartphone to show your ticket. Works in the metro as well. The reason they removed the option to pay for a ticket onboard the buses was mainly because the bus drivers got robbed too often (thanks multiculturalism. Plus it reduces the time on each stop since the drivers don't have to handle cash etc.

About the bus tickets, nowadays we have an all connected to a bank card where you can easily but your ticket and show the driver
Also the service, I hate when Im visiting other countries where store staff is running after you. Let me just look around and Ill ask you if I need anything hahaha
Typical Swedish thing I guess. We like to do things without asking for help

4: 03 thats just completely false. If you where right next up to the next person people would hate you. This will be quite hard to explain to non Swedes so just keep in mind stay ATLEAST a quarter of a metre away from the next person in line, if they feel discomforted then stand back a little more when the queue goes forward
Edit: rephrasing

Restaurant service is not like America where they rush you through a meal to turn an extra seating to make more money. Food and drinks are a relaxing social experience not how many times can they turn a table.

I've noticed you repeat the same things in many of your videos about Sweden. I guess you don't work with scripts, just your intuition. But repeating the same fact in 5 or more video is kind of repetitive.

I grow up and still live in Stockholm. You can buy ur bus and train tricket with an app (SL) on your phone. There is also a vending machine at each bus stop where you can buy a ticket.
