I feel that the canon L lens produces richer tones (anyone else pick up on this ) however the Sigma does a great job and that 1. 8 could be very interesting in use. Any problems with morie from the 70D All the brick work where I might expect some, looked clear too me. A most interesting video - so much better than just test charts - thanks for posting.

Yes the 18-55 I think would be great unless you have low lighting. The Sigma is great as long as you have a tripod or monopod. Lately been using it alot for wedding reception, and just love not having to use a light, you just get more of the natural picture. My preference is the 24-105 is good when the lighting is ok, gives you alot more range.

Thanks for the fast reply! Yep - I'd love to get the 70D - lack of funds means that mine is a year away ( I already have the 24- 105 etc) I feel that the 70D is by far the most interesting APS-C camera from Canon in an age. Whilst I wouldn't be able to afford one I wonder how much of these new features will find a home inside the 5d MK4 Have fun!

Yes, I agree, I shoot mostly with the 24-105mm, and love the IS on the Canon lense, but the Sigma is great in low light. After shooting about 4 more weddings since this video, I continue to be impressed with the 70d, the flexizone AF is very convenient, I can move the af focus point very easy while I'm shooting.

I did not test it a 1. 8, actually I think I was using auto exposure for the most part and was impressed with how quickly the auto exposure adjusted.

Very bad quality, poor colors, lots of noise. So far all other videos I've watched combining the 70d and the Sigma 18-35 were way better.
