as a fellow SoCal, the YETI roadie 24 is worth it, light enough to carry by one person, great to keep in the car too, for when you buying grocery in the summer, or short trips, keep stuff cold, great to have cold drinks for those 1-2 hour trips, cold snacks etc. Great for beach, etc.

Right next door to Uncommon Objects is the Austin Aquadome which looks just like Patrick Star's house, and is worth a look if you like aquariums/fish. Surprised that the Cathredral of Junk didn't make the list, but I'm not sure if it is still open to the public.

Uh, no way. Yeti is NOT worth the price haha. Ridiculous. For the price of one Yeti cooler, you can get two coolers that have literal refrigeration WITH a legit compressor, all powered by rechargeable battery packs for drills and drivers.

I occasionally eat egg & chicken. But currently trying to cut down that also and be vegetarian. I appreciate Amy for being vegetarian for 9 years,
But is there any reason why back to non veg? just curious, no judging though.

1000X better than Dallas right? Hope you do San Antonio. 1. The Alamo 2. Walk the Missions Trail 3. Take a Riverwalk cruise. 4. Eat cheese enchiladas at Mi Tierra (open 24/7) Market Square (and shop for lots of Mexican stuff.

I used to live in Austin and wanted to send some kudos for suggesting such a great itinerary! It was nice to see so many of my favorite places (Cosmic! Radio. Thanks for the morning nostalgia

Austin Texas is a hot bed for serial killers, deviants and murderers. It is a well kept secret but local people know. The university also has several groups involved is bdsm and satanism.

The history museum looks interesting, if you like weird collections, then House on the Rock in Wisconsin is a must see, give yourself 6 hours and there is a restaurant inside.

Thank you for sharing this video. When I was there, I hadn't seen the bats. Thanks to you, I have seen them. Austin has changed in a better way. Love your videos.

Native Austinite here. There are some cool spots for sure but once you live here it is all about social status and clout which is annoying. Now, I can't wait to leave.

You should cover the area in between Dallas and Fort Worth - Arlington and such. I'm new to this area and am amazed how much is in between the two major cities.

I once read a comparison of Yeti vs other brands, and the Walmart Ozark Trail brand was just as good at a third of the price. I've never looked back.

Another great video. Loved watching you and Amy explore this unique city. But the Bucee's hat! What, no Bucee's video from Through my Lens? :)

Your trips are getting dangerous; pops gets abducted by aliens and Amy gets caught by King Kong! That BBQ spread looks delicious.

Yay for Amy eating meat again! Thank you for showing the bat colony. That will be a must-do for me! Another awesome video, well done

YETI NO WAY. Buy an original Igloo cooler (invented in Texas) for about 10% of the cost and spend the rest on drinks and ice!

Great tour! We had a trip planned in 2020 that we had to cancel. I had never heard about the bats, crazy and cool!

Broken Spoke is a really cool place but hardly the oldest Dance Hall. Gruene (pronounced Green) Hall is in New Bruansfels.
reply

Amy, what made you change from vegetarian back to omnivore? Ive been pescatarian for 4 years and now Im back also.
reply

Josh, after that dance session I am pretty sure that white folks can't dance. Thank you for the video.

Please come down to Austin and visit us y'all. We're hospitable and friendly folk. BUT DON'T MOVE HERE
