How can you take something so simple and screw it up
U almost had a good one with exercise 1. Except u went with Pendlays. There's no reason to make an exercise easier, that defeats the purpose. Just bc ur over 40 or have back problems doesnt mean u shouldn't train lower back. Quite the opposite actually. Adding strength to that surrounding area will massively prevent farther issues. Ignoring and avoiding a problem, doesn't fix it.
Exercise 2 isn't too bad altho Ur better off doing them on a good machine like the Atlantis or prime or panatta.
Exercise 3 is okay.
In the end its not enough exercises to train Ur full back properly.

My lower back don't want anything like that 1st one shown. Training at home, I have only a small cheap flat bench. I do the lats standing leaning forward steadying myself by holding on to something in front. .using a dumbbell. And with issues with my elbows as well at 60, I have to go light doing more reps and sets.

You are right about only needing 3 exercises, but not quite right in the ones you picked.
> Pull ups (or lat pd's if u're a pussy that believes in feel the pump)
> Some sort of rowing
> some sort of hinge (you failed terrible on this one)

U have the top trap middle trap which is one muscle and the lats that's it vertical shrugs horizontal shrugs and one arm lat pull ins is all u need rear delts part of your shoulder

Wrong emg activation doesn’t mean muscle hypertrophy and Pendley row’s doesn’t allow for a full stretch as shown in science studies for growth.
