It’s no secret that a shredded physique will turn heads and drop jaws. Getting too lean, however, can quite literally ruin your life. In this video, I’m going to explain why you should NEVER get shredded. You see, achieving a lean body with visible abs is one thing, but pushing the boundaries to achieve extreme levels of leanness comes with a whole set of challenges and inevitable health problems. So before you cut out carbs and spend endless hours on a treadmill, here are 5 reasons you shouldn’t get shredded. Getting stage shredded was a HUGE benefit for me. I competed in late August 2023 at 5% body fat. Peeled and crispy dry all show day. Won my 2nd Regional Masters Classic and Bodybuilding 40. I trained, suffered, but ate well. Had a much better coach than previous preps. In phase 4 of my rebound, up 27lbs from show day, and still very lean. We took full advantage of the insulin sensitivity for progress. It's pretty incredible how my body just wants to eat and grow coming out of such a depleted contest phase. Training day Macros are 450-500g carbs, 265g protein, and 27g fat. A temporary lean phase can have its benefits.

Body Dysmorphia is no joke. A friend of mine with a phenomenal body wrote that it was the reason he hung himself. The image at 1min 29sec is SUPER relatable for me. I've never felt HUGE even though I'm typically the most prominently muscular guy in the room. It's REALLY important to keep a healthy head. If you're struggling, talk to someone.

Nonsense. I stay at 8. 5%. I do not do cardio in the traditional sense. Although, all exercise has a cardio effect varying depending on intensity. Low body fat happens as a result of a consistent type of diet. Metabolic rate is directly related to how much muscle tissue you have in your body

Please create a dumbells and bench and bands only (mixed with bodyweight as required) apartment friendly, no gym needed workout program to get decently jacked in six months (and continuing beyond) that is affordable for lower middle class young or older men. Please. Sincere request.

I'm not having any of these problems and im definitely under 10% year round but i don't do cardio or skip on carbs. Ive always been lean and started out at 12%. I hate how i look and feel at anything over 10%

i've been below 10% before and was moody and irritable, everything still worked though likely due to age; now at 40 i try to stay between 13-15%. it's easier on everything and still look decent.
