Does any one else feel like Jeff just got finessed I feel like if he tried this with people he knew very well, as in definitely knew what they were capable of as far as 1 rep max goes when money is not involved for longer than a day THEN offering 1, 000$ is more realistic to say whether money can make you stronger. Plus adding any weight is crazy, by those rules they could’ve added. 1 lbs and called it taking candy from a baby. I mean unless Jeff just wanted to hand out 1, 000$ and draw viewers into a short video then this is definitely what he wants to be doing.

Manons real max was nowhere near 190. Hell realistically it was closer to 220. She did 190 and then 200 too easily. You’re hardcore gym goer knows their max and knows even adding 5lbs to it will make it impossible. So as a ifbb pro to say she’d add 10lb to her max casually is a dead giveaway she knew 190 was not her max. Finally John benching 315 as the new dad, representing potentially the more casual lifter is crazy. Benching 315 probably puts him in top. 1% of men

I think it’s also very possible that when asked for your max, knowing you may be put on the spot to prove it, you’ll put a more comfortable/confident number. Ask me my max with the knowledge that it’ll be recorded, I may only say 215 even though I’ve hit 225.

Big difference between what somebody thinks they can do and what they tell you they can do, if Jeff nippard asks me how much weight I can do I’ll say atleast 5lbs less than my actual max to guarantee I won’t embarrass myself in case I’m having an off day
reply

after getting them to do their first rep, you should’ve gotten them to attempt adding weight to it without telling them money was on the table. if they failed it then tell them moneys on the table after they recover and see if they can do it then

I never imagined a book could change my life like Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution did. Stop what you’re doing and get this book ASAP. Trust me, once you apply its principles, your testosterone levels will go through the roof.

I think this is more a case that none were doing a true max. Or that none knew what it was. Except maybe the dad. Because none of those were RPE 10 presses. Just because you can't do something for 2, doesn't mean it's your 1RM.

I was impressed by the two different ways of receiving the money!
The woman took the money in a very humble way and kindness, and the second one, he almost got his hand also in a very selfish and inappropriate way.

Money can absolutely make u go harder. Just like the macrofactor challenge, I kid u not jeff, when you see my tansformstion even I didnt know how poor I was untill I saw what that money chance has made me do lolll

lol! That last dude just dropped the bar on his chest and bounced it up! No way would he make it on the competition circuit. You have to hold it on your chest and wait for the judge to tell you to left it up.

Ever heard of book called Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution It covers everything, nutrition, training, sleep, mental focus and much more. This book is the real deal, and it completely changed my life.

It’s wild that book called Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution isn’t mainstream yet. If more people knew what’s inside, low testosterone wouldn’t be such a common problem.

That last guys max bench was NOT 660lbs lol hes got a trampoline for a chest and just bounced the weight with almost no control. Ask him to do it slower and controlled and theres no way

It’s no coincidence that book called Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution is barely talked about, most people have no idea what’s truly holding them back in life.

Lady at the start: neither of those were her max.
Guy at the end: both of those were well over his max. Someone swaps that out with a stiff bar aaaaand he’s dead

who guarantees that's their max I would also say is lower than may actual max not to miss on camera. can't read too much into the premise of money to break the max
reply

To actually test this you’d need to have them do a weight they think they can’t hit and then after they fail tell them about the money and have them try again

I like Coach Greg's definition of true failure: If you were offered a million dollars to get another rep, but you can't get it, then you're at true failure.
