Lose weight slowly. It's not about the metabolism! But I have seen YouTube videos whereby people lose massive chunk of weight, and ended up having loose skin! It will be devastating to have a big chunk of skin hanging loosely after weight lost.
Don't get me wrong. I am not criticising those who do and chose to leave their skin that way. But to me personally, it's just very depressing and unfortunate. I have advice from some coaches, to lose maximum 1-2kgs a week.
The reason for that is because, your skin needs time to recover, and adjust from the lost of fat from the body. As we age, our skin elasticity loses and won't recover as quickly as we are. say in our Teens/young adult? That's the whole point and real reason for losing weight as slowly as possible, so that you are giving your skin time to adjust to your new body weight.

I have breakfast and punch provided at work and I can't not anything even if I want to. that would be super rude and get my coworkers telling me nonstop to eat (chinese tradition. :) ). intermitted fasting I think worked well for me before, it's just not working out when I kind of have to eat breakfast and lunch. skipping meals is the only way that worked well for reducing calories. I still try that at the weekends, but then I just want to have an option to choose my own food and I binge instead. bad cycle. ahh well. hope I'll break it at some point

That's why I don't have cheat day. I've seen one of my colleagues does have a cheat day after whole weekday's going to gym, and on weekends binge eating potato chips. In the end, his weight is never goes down.
For my own personal experience, I do take detox tea. However I still believe that I need to eat less and exercise like jumping jacks, and any exercise routine from YouTube. Plus the quarantine and lockdown by the pandemic, I can't go out and jog so I do in my room. In the end, from 70kg I managed to get down to 57kg now.

Thank you for including the apple cider vinegar in this video. Many videos on YouTube show drastic before/after photos and claim ACV is the method used for losing 3-5 dress sizes. Earlier this year, I tried ACV and absolutely disliked the taste! Then later that same week, I found a YouTuber who said she experienced sensitivity and burns in her mouth due to the vinegar. I stopped drinking ACV right away! My dress size isn't worth my health failing.
If ACV works for you- great!
But I'm talking about my weight, not yours.

So I can lose hella weight fast as long I have a long term diet that would allow me stay at that lower weight. I'll try I lost 30 lbs in 5 months but I wish I would was strict on my self and ate the exact number of calories to stay there. Now I'm about the same weight again and I'm slowly trying to get rid of it again. But this time my life isn't as flexible and I can't workout as much as I use too. I tend to eat alot, like even when I eat all the good stuff I eat too much of it and that is what kills me

I read out of a health magazine that dieting and weight loss does cause your metabolism to slow down, because like a camp fire, if you stop feeding it, it's going to slow down. Cheating once a week is supposed to prevent that, like reset your metabolism. They paired that information with intermittent fasting, and said you fast after your cheat day. I know it's all about what works for you, but over all, what do you think? I'm asking because I'm trusting your view over theirs.

I have two cheat days a week and it definitely works for me after a week of hard work, intermittent fasting, low sugar calorie deficit meal plan. I couldnt continue all the hard work if I dont have the 2 days delicious food lol. its too mind torturing. however i will extend the exercise period to burn the 2 days excess fat gain from the cheat meal the first day I back to my routine.
Lastly I love all your videos, its so helpful! Gratitude!

The last point needs to have one thing stressed upon (again) only if you have a lot of weight to lose. I usually want to lose only 10-20lbs and so aggressive diets would be detrimental to my health and well-being. I see smaller people bragging about losing 10lbs a week and they always put it back on so quickly. Meanwhile, I usually go the slower route and it would take me months to put the weight back on even if i'm lax with my diet.

I dont have cheat days or meals, like for me the black and white style of diet is no good, have everything on the table but just eat in moderation you can probably do without that second bag of crisps. Ive found having all options open has stopped my cravings.

Not very popular video (views, yet so true. Aggressive diet plans are usually what motivates us to loose more weight longterm, indeed. It all comes down to what kind of nutrition we stick to, not only how many calories we eat.
