If you are used to visibility changes not being undoable there is one SERIOUS downside to enabling this feature. If you go back to an earlier step in your history and change visibility ALL OF THE STEPS FROM THAT POINT ON WILL DISAPPEAR. I discovered this the hard way after the last PS update which enabled the feature without notice. I lost an hour's worth of retouching when I jumped back in my history for a look at something and toggled the visibility of a layer - all my work after that point vanished. BEWARE!

Once you make the selection using Q, why don't you create a layer mask. Second question: is there a way to colorize or quick mask the white and black areas of the layer mask in the image. So I might have a tree in the layer mask and I wan't to identify in the image what parts of the tree are selected in the layer mask. Thanks

Your are really a genuine person. I always follow ur tips and that's why I pretty much confident about photoshop. Thanks for all videos. I learned alot. I have a question. I have a project and I want to make shine on a white paper photo in photoshop. It is picture of a regular white printing paper but I need to make it like the photo was taken from a glossy paper. The paper in picture is a bit jammed.

Thanks for publishing this video. I used it about 6 mo. ago and it's perfect, but when trying to use today (cc19) I couldn't make the gradients on the quick mask mode? What's up with that? Thanks in advance.

On my 2019 Photoshop, there is no multiple gradients, only one. If I apply another it will replace the previous one. So how do I make use of multiple gradients?

Why not use mask and make a gradient black or white gradient on the effect mask you want? Any reson this would be a better option?
