I have been looking for a Arch distro that uses Xmonad and installs easily. I found one I really like. Have you ever heard of Hash Linux? I found it yesterday and
installed it on my machine. It works well, and has little extra software that I wouldn't use. Some customization. Most of the keybinds were the ones I already use!
The project is located at www.hashproject.org I found out that Distrowatch has not as yet heard of them.
They have four distro's packages that they offer : Xmonad, Awesome, Bspwm, and I3. None with - desktops -.

Not that convincing. I know most of these features from dwm or i3, and some additional features might be nice (like only one set of workspaces for all screens), but most seem unneccesary bloat (like multiple ways to execute programs) or are a reinvention of WM-independent features (just use dmenu instead of prompts, which only work with xmonad)

Hey DT, can you do an episode on Xmonad to explain how you move different app windows to different displays. I haven't found an explanation on how to do this, but you have said a number of times that you run 3 displays, and use Xmonad on them. Thanks...

well, i dont understand the obssession with htop, also i find working better with a centered window (because my head is looking straight to monitor) going fullscreen is really a pain. Also do i need to see the full content of all the windows?

Great video thanks, Xmonad is indeed a great twm. I can't figure out how to achieve true full screen in it with polybar like you can do in i3 or any other twm with the keybing super+f. Do you have any advice ?

Are you thinking of making a video demonstarting how to set up polybar? Recently switched to Linux after watching your videos, and I would like to set up polybar. But I don't really know how to do it.

Loved the tabbed sublayout for the stack pane. Any chance this can be reproduced in qtile without much coding? Maybe the treetab layout can be manipulated into a tabbing layout

Uhm ... With the one exception of tabbed layout, these are things ALL tiling window managers can do... ;) And the panel stuff isn't even Xmonad, but an own program.

Yes it does, in fact 90% of all window managers can be configured to do so, and a lot of desktop environments come with similar features out of the box
