How to Invite Anyone to Microsoft Teams Meeting - Kevin Stratvert learn how to invite people inside and outside of your organization to a meeting. Even if the user has a Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc. email address, you can have them join your meeting. I show two different ways of inviting external participants, one using the attendee line in the meeting setup and the other by copying the meeting link and then sharing

Thank you, very helpful. Just to clarify, as I need to send the meeting link you people outside my organization, but also cobfidentially i.e. without revealing emails to other registered potential participants, I can copy the link (by right clickibg the teams meeting link) and crate an email where i will write a shorter text (cause the URL is so long) in which I-ll create a link and copy paste the copied teams meeting link. Then I can bcc all registered participant and my colleagues email in copy for example. However, if I want to change the setting so that everyone can join without waiting in the lobby, can I change the setting before or after or either sending the link?

Hi. You can invite anyone with the -New meeting- button, but not with the -meet now- button. I don't understand why...!! is it me having an issue or what ? If i click on -new meeting-, i can do as you. invite whoever i want. If i click on -meet now-, create a meeting, and then in the participants lists, try to add someone, well....doesn't work ! :-( :-( I don't know why !

Hi Kevin, could you please tell me if there is an option to somehow hide the participants at the meeting, or to be viewable only by the organizer of the meeting?
For example, we have an auditors meeting, and we have colleagues that want to participate in the meeting but we don't want the auditor to find out that there are more people watching this.
Thanks

Great information! I'd love to start using Teams meetings rather than Zoom. When I test this with a different email address and open in a separate computer, I continually get prompted to sign in rather than join as guest. I don't want this to happen to my clients. Has something changed with Teams since this video or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

When I saw you had a video on this subject I was excited, but after watching I am disappointed. I can't believe you didn't address the problems in getting this to actually work. Out of the box this doesn't work. How about a video that shows what settings need to be changed in the MS 365 admin site so it actually works?

Microsoft are dumb. I don't even have the calendar tab. I don't have time to figure out a VERY simple concept. Seems Microsoft can't do anything right anymore. Useless multi-billion dollar company. Smh. The fact 200,000 people needed help to make a darn CALL. What a joke of a company.

Hi kevin. How to invite everyone of the members. Do i need to click one by one to add their name? Or any other solution. got more 170 personnel already added in the team. But to add in meeting i still need to add by individual. I wish i just can click once to add all . Help me thanks.

What happens if you have a large all day meeting but there are external participants who need to attend at specific times? Is there a way of sending invites out without having to forward the larger meeting invite to the individuals?
reply

yup. don't have a calendar so that didn't help. In fact I had a calender in Teams which wasn't loading or linking to my email .. now it just disappeared.
Well done MSFT .. notice that Slack is much more user friendly

Hi Kevin, Thanks for another great video! One question, if the organiser is away from a regular meeting but still want to invite a guest how do I do this and still be able to admit my guest without Organiser permissions?
