well be showing you how to create a custom monthly calendar in Microsoft Excel.
Calendars are a great way to keep track of events in the month or year. Setting up a calendar manually can be a lot of hassle. Well show you how to use a template and customize it to your needs. Lets create a calendar in Excel.
1. Click New, and search for calendar.
2. Take a look and see which is closest to what you want. If you want a single month, choose the Any year one-month calendar. For this example, we want a whole year, so we will choose the Academic calendar template.
3. Click View at the top and then check Gridlines. Now it looks more like were used to.
4. It starts in August, so lets change this to January. Click the month and then the drop-down arrow and select January.
5. You will see that all the days change, and all the months after. This would be extremely difficult to make from scratch.
6. Delete the placeholder text.
7. Click Monday, then the drop-down arrow. Scroll to Sunday and click that to make the weeks start on Sunday.
8. It looks good as is, but you can change the colors and fonts as well. Click Page Layout at the top. Here we can change the Theme.
9. You can also change the Font specifically, or the Colors. If you dont find any colors you like, you can spend some time in the Customize Colors menu.
Starting with a template is much easier than making a calendar from scratch, and you can still customize this calendar even more if you wish.
