First glance looks ok. Honestly, disappointing. A bottom cabinet, but for what. Just a basic psu shroud area, not like it has room for rads like past cases with a 'basement'. Huge case with minimal mounts or versatility for optional hdd/optical drives. If the argument is those are outdated, then the argument for a humongous case is moot. With bottom fans in the way, less convenient for gpu supports. Which would apply to larger gpu's associated with a humongous case. Filtered bottom, front, etc is basic barbie these days. Same with the glass panel. Pretty mid for an absurd price.
Same basic rad support as my case (10yrs old btw) with the exception of handling a 360mm rad up front (mine is limited to 240). Options for 6x hdd's, multiple 5.25, all can be easily removed to provide just as much free space as this thing has. Case price still $115. Outside of the gimmicky display on this case the point is there's nothing innovative about it. Case is box with glass. 2hdd's, psu, fans. Makes me wanna poke it with a stick and tell it 'do something' for $185. Very few people going the custom watercooled route given industry issues and ridiculous price of water blocks. Coupled with a hurting economy. People spending enough on $800-1600 gpus, not trying to spend $600-1000 on custom loops. Something that would require the wasted space.
Coming from someone who owned antec cases decades ago. Miss the sturdy build, thickness of panels on the sonata II along with the amazing paint job.

Antec, seriously, you kinda disappeared as a viable option for MANY years, but you are BACK for thermals!
$180 Not a big deal when you're putting a $6000 Linux workstation in it. Hey Antec, don't suppose you'll post as much as a text file describing what bytes to send to that display to control what it shows Your software isn't gonna run on a Linux workstation, but it'd be absolutely trivial to write a tool that sends the temperature numbers from a pair of configured sensors to that displayprobably an hour's work if I don't have to connect it to a Windows machine and sniff the USB traffic myself. How 'bout it #OpenPleb

I wonder if other people would find it cool like me (even if just to see how far cases have come in 20 years and to make fun of how some old cases looked) to do some tests on old cases. I personally still (somewhat) miss my Raidmax Smilodon, when I built my computer in that I felt like the coolest person. Felt being the keyword there as the radioactive green LEDs in it would wake my family up from a room away if I was up late on it and then I'd have to tell people I gotta go, parents said to go to bed. Always wondered if I put some modern stuff in it how choked it all would be by that hellish case.

The one thing that this Antec has over the Torrent, is the power supply not getting extra heat. My PSU ramps up the fans in my Torrent during heavy gaming, but didn't when used in an older case that was bottom mounted. Replacing my PSU with a better and quieter one will likely eliminate the noise, but that will be another $120. So you save $40 if the Torrent is on sale, but it might cost you more in the end. Another good choice that hasn't been tested is the NZXT H6 Flow, when you get 2 140s on the bottom. Those side angled fans brings a lot cooling, and the airflow works well to go up and out the top.

Very nice case, however I bet it will collect a lot of dust over time with no filters, only mesh. Sure you can buy filters, but that PSU chamber will need filters on 3 sides with mesh both left & right.
And sticking them at the very bottom they will loose air to through the side mesh, maybe stacking the bottom fans could be optimal
For $180-185 magnetic filters should come with the case. (more important than that gimmicky temp monitor, which ought to be sold separately instead IMO.)
Also I would move the bottom fans up to the ceiling if using a CPU-aircooler.

A lot of the design and features makes this feel like if the Deepcool CH560 (Digital) grew up and matured to a 30-year old adult: it’s larger with better hardware compatibility, the ARGB fans are replaced with a lot of non-ARGB and reversed fans, and the PSU-shroud fan mounts actually work. It’s kind of hard to make a case special in 2024 so it’s really good to see such an old company like Antec refine a traditional design while also making the gimmicks an useful feature
Also I hope that socket protector at 13:58 isn’t corroding out already

glad to see antec back, still wouldn't buy one. i don't buy cases with 'textured' fronts. if they released a 'flat' model that gets rid of the variances in the front panel, maybe, but with t he existing front panel nah.
i mean, i get it from a design standpoint, trying to break up the 'boring' front lines, but personally, i don't care for it. unless something else comes out, i'll likely keep with the lancool II mesh models for as long as they make them.

Perforating basically every surface (including both sides, the rear/front, and the bottom!) of the lower chamber is a great design; it has minimal visual impact, and ensures the bottom-of-case fans in the upper chamber have basically unrestricted intake airflow. I also note the taller-than-usual feet on this case; since the underside has higher porosity than the sides, this is likely contributing substantially to the intake air.

like the reorientation of the psu cable , the perforated side of the backpanel which is so useful for the bottom intake fans , just goes on to think antec brought innovation the case market in the same segment , the included fan hub is a big plus because users mostly buy an aftermarket hub or pwn extension because of the sheer number of case fans needed nowadays , anti dampener rubber dots are good

Antec, that's a name i haven't heard in awhile. My first build was with the 900.
That's back when Nvidia was doing chipsets for motherboards. 780i. I think it still has AGP. I KNOW it had SLI. Was SLI ever serious I dont want to say it was gimmicky.
I remember having an Antec Earthwatts as well. I got most of that stuff from CompUSA!!!
I feel old now.

I got my shirt. It is awesome! Could you mention what front connectors are on the case, if they actually work and how long are the cables I have had high end cases where the jacks in the front where either loose, failed to connect or the cables were too short to reach the the MB properly.

I think the case is very elegant and well built, and the stock fans are very good apparently. The only gripe I have is the led screen. I think I'd rather they remove it, and sell a more expensive version with a slightly bigger display that's customizable. Like the ones on AIOs.

You dont test with hubs But the hub is a part of the case so you failed to test all parts of the case. Id understand if it was an addon but it isnt its an essential function and yes you could use your mb to control the fans but I doubt there are enough ports on most motherboards.

I have a torrent and feel like you can make it a lot quieter than it comes. The bottom case fans seem to be quiet loud, the front ones slightly less so.
In comparison with my nh-d15 they're extremely noisy however, so I think they can step up their game with their fans.

What happened to the CPU torture test at full speed with stock fans I don't see it. At 22:19 Steve said we haven't discussed CPU thermals with stock fans at full speed YET so I was expecting to see them later in the video, but it seems they just forgot to include them.

Flux is also a term used in mathematics to describe a vector field. Which is one of the ways we can mathematically describe the flow of fluids, or heat through a control volume. They should have used that definition instead of flow luxury, would have made more sense.

It's fascinating seeing the Pop Air struggle in stock fan tests and do really well in fan normalized CPU tests. I always felt like the stock fans were poor and it's nice to see proof.
I wonder what other cases are completely let down by poor stock fans.

One thing that has kept me from being more interested in one of these new cases that have wooden accents is the fact that I can't get a white case with the walnut (dark) wood color. Am I the only one that thinks that would look good Lol maybe I am.

can't believe fractal torrent with their tragic ticking fans is still 1 in the noise-normalized gpu thermals. you should consider test in lowest rpm mode, this is how i use it and ticking become a problem, antec flux pro would win in such a scenario.

Hey, can you guys do a quick PSA telling people not to buy OLED monitors from Dough Tech They are a scam company that doesn't actually ship the monitors people buy, but they've duped a lot of people into thinking they're legitimate.
