I'd really like to see you experiment with coated cable wire I know how you've previously felt about cable but coated cable seems to be possibly the best solution because of the ability for it to twist without kinking and snapping as easily. I never had a problem with either until last season had a problem with wire on a smaller hammer, the wire was so stiff that when I went to beach the shark the wire dug into the sand and popped the hook. Of course it could have been a bad hook set but I see twisted up wire often when I have one get off after some jumps. I wish there was a perfect solution other than luck. When the bites not good and you loose your only fish by something you could have changed. Well. I guess that's why we always go back haha. Good video as always

One day me and my dad were fishing for shad or u say blue shad that day I hooked three shad and all of a sudden a shark hit my shad rig and I knew it was a shark because of its tail and it was a hammer head then it broke my sinker and hook line and there was a heavy storm before and this old man told us there were over 30 sharks right close to the shore so I was certain it was a shark I live in durban, kwazulunatal. SA

Just a tip. I would hook that bait up in spot that it will tear away easy. Through the mouth tends to be a tough spot. My hookup ratios are a lot better when it placed in the meat, but still keeping that hook exposure. Not sure if you have experimented with hook placements. The way you hooked your second piece could have been just a little higher, easier to tear off and get out of the way when the shark bites.

Where is the location of this? Will be in West Palm Beach next week fishin. I have been tracking the Blacktip migration this year and its very hard to find info online so I keep my ear to youtube and the forums. Any info would be great BlacktipH.

i live 2 blks from the ocean in Miami Beach. ive read the scientists say the majority of the migration doesnt make it down here. do i need to drive up there to catch them or do i stand a decent chance down here?
