I made the flower shaped doughnuts when Rie and David their videos on it and I followed the recipe exactly but. They only held their shape when pressed together into a blob shaped flower and if it was like yours, when I took the parchment paper out they became doughnut holes.

there is one desert in singapore is almost the same as mochi it is called kuachi it is chewy like mochi skin but without filling inside the skin then they use crush peanut and sugar than mixed them it is easy to make just use 2 ingredient a water an something i forgot

Man this is really sad for me. Its like expectation vs reality. I failed making mochi when i finished micowaving it is like dough not like mochi. but i guess the taste is a little bit like mochi? Idk its really dissaponting
