Post-Cinco De Mayo Recipe Recommendation!
First Recommendation 05/01/24. Today's recommendation 05/08/24. Re-posting each video because this recipe is THAT good: Chicken Enchilada Soup
Dishes: Large Soup pot, medium pot for the protein & broth
Protein - Chicken Breast, Boneless, Skinless, simmered in chicken broth until mostly cooked. Pull from the broth (saving the broth, and shred. Reintroduce to the final pot along with broth as needed.
Spices - Cumin, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Chili Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Smoked Paprika, taco seasoning, Souza seasoning, black pepper.
Add-ins - frozen or grilled corn, black beans, black olives, 2 chopped / diced onions, 2 cans green chilies, 2 de-seeded and diced jalapenos, 1 can of rotel diced tomatoes.
Sauce-Add-ins - Cream cheese, Sour Cream, Tabasco Sauce, Cholula Hot sauce. 2 large cans of enchilada sauce ( our favorite is Rosaritas.
Prepare the protein in a separate pot / pan, once again, be sure to save the broth.
Into the main soup pot, place non-sauce add-ins first and start a gentle simmer to get the onions and chilis sweating and start the flavor-mixing process. Lower the heat down to medium-Low and add in the enchilada sauce. Add spices and stir. Add tabasco sauce and Cholula hot sauce and stir. Adjust the spice levels of the chili powder, cayenne, cumin, and taco seasoning to point it's got a serious bite. This is when we temper with the cream cheese ( about half a package/bar ) and sour cream to temper it to desired spice level.
Reintroduce the chicken to the main soup pot and add broth to desired amount. Readjust spice level intensity if desired.
Remain on medium-Low heat for about an hour, stirring about every 5 minutes to keep the bottom from scorching. This requires patience, but allows all those flavors to mix and mingle together. Over time, this will likely lead to a very gentle boil.
Serve with fresh cilantro, sour cream, and shredded cheese. You can also crush tortilla chips over the top for an added texture

Recently was in Milan. Can honestly say most boring fried chicken dish ever lol. Wanted to try an Italian take on fried chicken. So disappointing. Fried chick even with no sauce. And plain arugula just dumped on top lmao. When I saw you made this I sent it to my fiance for laughs because this chicken is an inside joke ar this point.

What becomes of the flour, egg & panko that doesn't get used on camera Do you just make more chicken or do you toss it If I had the resources, I would make this outside to keep from smoking up my apt and setting off the smoke alarm. It looks so good.
reply

Just a heads up Panko people you know what you’re doing you got a good product but if you make one that is like Italian breadcrumbs, there’s perhaps room to expand your market but what do I know that’s just my job
reply

Add a slice of prosciutto and melt the parmesan shavings. Add dried parsley to the breadcrumbs. Don't need that much oil.
4C Italian (Seasoned) Breadcrumbs sold mostly in the NYC area, are delish.

reply

Toss the chicken and salad on some Alfredo pasta and top it with prosciutto and you’ve got yourself Cheesecake factory’s Chicken Bellagio (which tastes way better made at home)

Hello Sam. My dad has been watching you for ages (he worships you) but is too scared to comment, so I'm stepping in even though it terrifies me you put japanese mayo on everything.
reply

Season the flour, not the panko. seasoning is significantly smaller than panko, you will get little to no seasoning by adding it to the panko breading instead of flour.

I like to; last minute; open the cupboards and fridge, then come up with a meal. I video like that would be cool. Then, go to someone else’s place and do the same thing.

How about a little lemon bur blanc sauce for that crispy chicken Milanese! Oh, so delicious! Thank you, Sam for helping us to not make the same thing all the time!
reply

Milanesa is popular in Mexico, we have it on tacos, quesadillas or tortas with mayo, sour cream and some kind of salsa that can be green or red salsa. Its delicious!

Looks delicious. Can you make a peri peri chicken dish I’m from South Africa and this dish is one of the country’s favorites. Baie dankie!
reply

Beautiful recipe. I like to add roasted red peppers to this meal. And with some nice ciabatta and some garlic aioli you have a delicious sandwich.
