Welcome to Western Georgia, a region that s known for delicious cheese and some of the spiciest and most complex food in all of Georgia. Today we re taking a road trip, will be eating some food along the way, but finally making our way to Zugdid for some of the greatest Georgian food in the county. Restorani Zgapari Rikoti - Ubisa, Georgia - Just a few hours from Tbilisi, we started our food tour today at Restorani Zgapari Rikoti, in the mountains next to a river. They serve regional Georgian food and they are known for their wild mushrooms and fried chicken. It was another amazing meal, with unique dishes, and lots of walnuts and cheese. Bikentia's Kebabery - Kutaisi, Georgia - Kutaisi is a large city in Georgia and we didn t have long to stay, but I wanted to stop for a very quick kebab at a legendary restaurant. Turned out delicious! Folk House - We finally made it to Zugdidi, Georgia, and the destination of the day. We went directly to the Folk House where we met with one of the most interesting guys in the country who is an artist, collector, singer, musician and Chef. He cooks some of the best local Samgrelo food. There were so many dishes I had never heard of or seen before. I loved the cold walnut stews and the highlight was the elarji, one of the most unique of all Georgian foods. It s cornmeal with a huge amount of cheese mixed in. It s probably the world s greatest cheese pull! Sisatura Ethno village - Finally to wrap up this amazing day of Georgian food, we went to an Ethno village where we learned a little about the local Samgrelo culture and ate another fantastic meal! This: The man with the stone mortar pestle speaks French? Is French a second language in Georgia or did he immigrate there from a French speaking country or learn French as a tradesman. Curious to know if you inquired about that Mark!

A day of cheese is RIGHT. That cheese pull makes one wonder if that cheese might tangle up your GI tract while it was attempting to digest it. I bet Georgia has one of the highest constipation rates in the world if cheese is really consumed at that rate.

I love your videos. You present places that I did not know and their culture, their food, the very humble people and so when one travels, one can know where and what things are in them.

What i love about Mark's videos is its not only about food. But the way he appreciates and support other cultures is what makes his content amazing!

Their food looks like Filipino food. The liver with onion is similar to our bistek tagalog, while their chicken is similar to Max's fried chicken.

Everybody loves Georgian cuisine at first taste but as a Georgian I have never seen a foreigner eating Georgian dishes as joyfully as this guy

That cheese pull looks satisfying to see. We all hope that Mark continues to learn more foreign cultures and traditions all around the world.

Imagine your intestines trying to digest and break down that cheese pull. Probably stretches in the stomach all the way to the bxtt.
