Today I am eating lunch in my car. This sandwich hack is quick, easy, and budget-friendly. Sadly, my local small HEB Pantry doesn t carry the bolillo rolls anymore. It is my favorite sandwich bread! I make copycat Subway subs with them and with as much veggies as I put in mine, it should be considered a salad. lol! Do you have any torta recipes on here? I need to search. I ve been making tortas lately with a bun, pan fried bologna, a fried egg, refried beans, avocado and pico. Would love more sandwich ideas!

There s nothing like walking into a store and smelling the fresh hot bolillos. Suddenly lunch or dinner plans are changed and u grab the tongs and bag, get in line to grab your own hot bolillos, then go grab something to put inside or eat it with. Love your salad hack. The entrance to stores is usually on the panaderia side so u can even feel the heat radiating from the fresh pan omg now I want some

Thanks for this hack. They look so easy to make. Everything I like. I'll try these now I know you recipe idea on how to make it. And it would be way cheaper to make our own. We really like those kind of buns. Do they have in whole wheat or whole grain? maybe I can just get whole grain buns. I don't eat white bread or buns
My hubby does. He'd love this sandwich idea

My husband s new favorite lunch is chicken wraps! He has access to an air fryer at work so I just do a frozen chicken strip, shredded cheese and shredded lettuce, in a tortilla. Wrap it up in some foil to line the air fryer with. And send him with ranch and buffalo sauce. With some carrot and celery sticks and an ollipop he s one happy hubs

This is a great salad/sandwich hack! My daughter plays sports in the Special Olympics, and I often don't have enough time in between games to go pick up lunch. This is easy to pack in a small cooler and take with us. She's a picky eater and doesn't always like what the athletes are given, so this is perfect! Thank you!

What an amazing idea I never thought of this! I work from home so I won't have to eat in my car, but I'm still gonna try this! Sometimes I just need something quick for lunch, and I don't usually like to buy a bunch of deli meat, and sandwich fixings because it goes bad so quickly! Thank you so much for sharing!

What a creative idea. Does HEB have packets of salad dressing to add to the bread? A little ranch would be tasty. Delish! I must admit I get irritated when anyone mentions HEB because I love the store. They aren t in my home state. The variety blows me away. I ve been to Texas 3Xs this year and always hit HEB.

Thank you for sharing. I eat in my car quite a bit on my lunch hour. This is a great idea. It reminds me I have loved to do salad in toasted pita bread for a long time now. I cut the pita bread in half and toast it and then put the salad inside the pita pocket. that s really delicious too.

This right here is LAW in Houston. Eating in our car is def a way of life. Before wfh, i would def eat in my car for lunch or after work bc i didn't eat lunch but wouldn't be home for quite some time. Great hack to eat on the go and/or eat solo if you like alone time!

I do a similar thing. a sort of combination of the two. I make wraps with rotisserie chicken and a family salad mix that comes with dressing and add-ons which make a nice crunch and usually adds cheese. Budget friendly, eat and good.

Love those salad sandwiches. I like to use rotisserie chicken breast chopped up, then I add thinly sliced celery, diced brown onion and grated carrot. Mix with mayo, add salt n pepper and put in a bollillo.

I live in a much smaller city, but as a fellow introvert, I understand. When I worked full time, I really enjoyed eating lunch in my car, it was the only time I had to myself to read uninterrupted.

Think this is one of my top favorite videos from you, wow. I will be doing this asap, I always loved sandwiches but salads have been a favorite the past few years, this was brilliant, thank you!

This is amazing! It's just my husband and I at home. Some days I want veggie sandwiches, but I tend to forget about the half-carrot or cucumber and it ends up spoiling. This is perfect!

I wish we had a grocery store like that in our town. All we have is a small Walmart, with no deli and bakery and a tiny grocery store.
