This time I will introduce you to bok choy tofu doenjangguk. This soup is hot, savory, and earthy, and makes your body warm and comfortable. No Korean would ever reject a large bowl of doenjangguk with a small bowl of warm rice, its our all-time favorite.

Hi Maangchi! Today we had the galbi and bulgogi that I made from your recipes. I also made your oi munchim and lettuce kimchi (sorry I forgot how to say the correct name. The regular (cabbage) kimchi and pickled radish were store bought, but my family loved everything! The only problem is that I marinated too much bulgogi, so we will be cooking the rest tomorrow (a good problem to have. I hope it is ok to marinate for 48 hours. To go with our Sunday meal I will make this soup. It is one of my favorites! I don't have pak choi growing in my garden right now. Would it taste ok with lacinato kale and the zucchini? I am growing those 2 currently.

It's on the stove as I type this message to you! Thank you for introducing this to me, it doesn't taste like any other soup, it has a very distinct flavour and I had a craving for it today. Yum! Thank you Maangchi.

I didn't have bok choy so I used napa cabbage and threw in some bunashimeji mushrooms and it was so delicious! Such a versatile and tasty recipe. Thank you so much Maangchi - you are the best.

I made this tonight for dinner. I didn't have dried anchovies so I just used a vegan chicken broth. I am a vegetarian so I added 2 tbsps of prepared black beans for more protein. This is delicious!

This video is very detailed, so that my novice can handle it well. I like anchovies, green vegetables and tofu. It's also very convenient to make at home. I like it very much.

Hi Maangchi, i don't know what type of the fish is anchovies. I'm in India. And there is no possibility for the toffu, duengang, cochugang here! No Korean stores!

This is a must. I am from Korea and have had so many different soybean paste soup in my life but this is one of the best recipes that you can make at home.

Hi Maangchi, I want to try this recipe but I don't have dried anchovy. Aside from chicken broth, can I use Asian fish sauce as an alternative too?
