That is not spaghetti. There is not a single tomato product in it. While I get the pasta is spaghetti, you also broke the noodles.
It might be tasty, I don't know, but I kept waiting for the tomato products.
And then you broke the noodles. I get, like most of us, yes, it is far easier to cook them in a smaller pot or pan as you don't have to keep bending them down until all are under boiling water BUT I tried the broken ones a few times and I found that it doesn't give the same bite. It DOES make a difference, once I don't like. I want that fork rolled long spaghetti big bite.
There are just all sorts of things wrong here.
It might definitely be tasty but it's not spaghetti, don't call it that. Or call it broken dirty spaghetti noodles in whatever sauce. Mostly beef broth from what I got from it. Or chicken or vegetable broth. Seasonings and vegetables. So basically it's just a. well. I will leave it at that.
The name sounded intriguing so I came in but in hearing what it is, I won't be trying it.

What's the reasoning for the valley-mountain-valley cadencing of every sentence Did your parents talk that way or something Most of us are sitting here wondering, how much effort does he have to put in to syncing up his sentences with the sprinkler or perhaps the light beam intensity from a distant lighthouse, or something else that carries the rhythm. He is clearly paying homage to something that he senses a value of timing in, and trying to simply infect others with it instead of preparing them for such a rhythmic style chatter. It would be hysterical to dub in some laugh tracks from old TV shows during each of the valleys, to make it sound like every time he spoke it was hilarious LOL. Yes, someone should do that lololol

I have a wonder Is there any other garnish other than green onions or parsley that you can put in your savory dishes I feel like those are both so beyond over done on dishes. Not that they're bad, just that they're used all the time by on-screen chefs and cooks.
. and when Chef John broke the spaghetti in half, Italians everywhere had a conniption fit.
Eva, from Pasta Grammar, literally cringed when she's saw someone brake pasta before adding it to a dish. She said something to the effect of, that's called dog food, because no one eats broken spaghetti, iirc except kids and dogs.
She's made assassin pasta, or spaghetti all'assassina, with unbroken spaghetti.

I just realized I may have tasted some of your food. My wife worked at CCA as a financial adviser and often brought home samples from both the chefs and the students. She often talked about one of the nicest and funny chefs at CCA. I’m convinced that was you.
She worked there from the time they were on Polk to a couple of years before they closed.

I have been eating what is basically this since I was a little tiny kid. Only dif is that we used a pot, not a pan, and when the non noodle part was cooked, we would dump it to the side (no one pan jobs here, drop in the 'scetti, then replace the meat and veg. Then we just let it cook without all the stirring.

this is a great method when water is in short supply. camping, utility's problem from storm or maintenance or like me that has a cistern so i have a finite water source and dont have the luxury of letting water run like it will never end. a minor point until you dont have running water at the tap.

I was very hopeful when I saw this video for a one-pan spaghetti recipe, but disappointed when I learned it involves bell peppers. I can’t eat bell peppers at all, they give me severe acid reflux. Oh well, I guess I could adjust this recipe to omit the peppers. Maybe onions, celery and carrots

It should be noted that the ingredients of the holy trinity in this recipe are specifically the southern version used in southern, cajun, and creole cooking. The traditional holy trinity uses carrots instead of peppers. That's the only difference.

How pitiful.
No Italian or anyone that knows anything about Italian food would ever use a spoon to eat spaghetti.
That is sacrilege.
And it would be so nice if you could speak without all those breaks.
That's annoying too.

I make a chicken marinated in Low sodium Soy sauce Oyster sauce garlic & brown sugar over night. I start cooking the chicken throw in some frozen veggies & elbows or I break the long spaghetti in half all in one pot. I hate dishes

This looks and sounds delicious, and I'm going to make it for dinner tonight! A few tweaks based on what I've got on hand, but otherwise the same. Including a lidless pan and having to borrow another lid for it. It'll be fine.

I made this last night to spec. It was a good recipe, good quality, but ultimately not the swim lane my family prefers. They all said they could tell it was good, ate everything because it is quality, but not a favorite.

For 1 or 2 person meals, I think I would make the base, cool, divide and freeze portions for use later, then when ready, just add the pasta in as shown, and with the pasta, some chopped fresh tomatoes. this looks good

This looks fantastic!
I usually keep a glass measuring cup with water ready to heat up in the microwave when making stuff like this. If the pan starts getting dry, I can add near-boiling water and keep it simmering.

I travel around in a camper van cooking with an Instant Pot. This is the perfect road recipe! Of coarse, I'd adjust it a little for the Instant Pot and whatever altitude I'm at. This is going to be great! Thanks Chef!

Everyone is always joking about breaking the pasta in half. I never thought I'd see the day someone actually did it. It completely distracted me from the weird voice inflection for the rest of the video.

I made this and it was so delicious. The only changes I made were, I put the vegetables in first for a minute or two, and I added some fire roasted tomatoes I had leftover. Great recipe and very easy to make.

To the O. G. From O. M. M. Your recipes NEVER fail. In fact, this Dirty spaghetti was so sinfully good, I’ll have to go to confession. Seriously, CJ, YOU are the real (flavor) bomb!

It looks great, Chef John! I think a little squeeze of tomato paste when cooking the meat and veggies will add flavor and make the sauce a little better to stick to the spaghetti noodles.
