Adding a vegetable to a cheesy, stuffed pasta filling is easy. The hard part is deciding how much, which is why I enjoyed these three-cheese broccoli manicotti so much, since I thought they struck the perfect balance. loved012one: Looks delicious! I plan to make a lazy version of this with the methods in your Baked Ziti recipe -- our family doesn't even bake it any more, we serve it directly from the pot and sprinkle cheese on top on our plates! It's a fantastic 1-pot recipe!

This recipe sounds great! I'll have to save it for making some pasta next week. For what it's worth, I could see changing the broccoli for spinach and peppers and you're still getting some good veggie nutrients. Not that I'm against broccoli and pasta, I just kinda think of spinach, eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, and of course, olives, as the Italian food vegetables I like to cook with.

Hello from Sacramento CA. I used to work in a Italian restaurant in the kitchen and this is my daughter most requested meal when she comes for a visit. We used fresh egg role wraps no stuffing tubes. And made huge manicotti.

Very clever, I will be trying once I am able to find Manicotti shells, I am not sure about other parts of the country but manicotti shells are as rare as hen teeth in the greater Tampa area.

I m guessing the broken one is in the top row, second from the right. Worth a guess Haha. We did the same thing when rolling up cannellonis at the Italian restaurant I used to work at

oooo my gud. cant belive it i made this like coupla weeks ago but couldent find big enuff noodle. found decent tubes tho but those bad bois you have there. thats some next texas level

You could have trimmed the tubes down a bit to make them fit as well if you wanted. Then shredded the leftovers in some of the leftover sauce with more sausage as a quick snack.

Chef John, just buy a slightly bigger dish for baking, lol, that will work, lol, a good as you are, they are not going to make a slightly smaller manicotti pasta for you, lol

Ooh, I am definitely going to try this recipe soon! I love broccoli, pasta, sausage, and all the other wonderful stuff in here, so I already know I'm gonna love this.

Chef John! Did you know that you can peel much of that fibrous outer skin on the broccoli? Use a paring knife to cut into the bottom of the stem and peel upwards
