In State of Decay 2, it's open season on the undead - but as you're killing the milling hordes, you must also create a safe haven for you and your fellow survivors. Did someone say Fixer Upper?

Zombie Killing game, but also building a shelter. Sounds vaguely like the Only Good Part of Fortnite. You know, the one it was originally marketed on before it released a Battle Royale F2P portion that's now the only part people seem to care about.
Seems like this game takes it in a very different direction, though, and is intriguing in its own right!

It kind of just looks like the first one, to be honest. I loved the first one, don't get me wrong, but after about 15 hours it became very samey, and I wasn't compelled to even finish the story. I hope that this one expands on the last one, and doesn't turn into -state of decay but for modern consoles and pc's-.

When you start a game review with your faux 3deep5me philosophy. Yeah zombies are just an embodied fear of consumerism, that's why there have been legends of the walking dead for ages, even before consumerism was even a thing. You must be fun at parties. And to play games with.

I hope they added in more stuff and included a custom character creator. This video gives me the impression that the only new thing added to this sequel is the slightly better graphics.

If the other comments didn't give it away yet, people aren't tuning in to hear about the origin of zombies or what the previous game was like.

Looking forward to the PC release. I put a lot of hours into the 360 edition and was surprised that it was much more than GTA with zombies

Per Vox's -How the zombie represents America-s deepest fears-, zombies typically represent a xenophobic fear of -primitive- cultures.
