As a huge fan of monster hunter and god eater I was happy to hear about this since I'm mostly a PC gamer but what I've seen so far tells me it has a long way to go =/
1) weapons don't have as much impact to them
2) Both God Eaters and Monster Hunters music is way better
3) Sound effects seem off =/ why does hitting this monster make metal clinking sounds
4) Only seen one map of which the environmental design is pretty bland
Saying that though i do love the artwork and style of the game and it seems to have the fundamentals down so hopefully after the alpha they start to work on the points i made, I really want this game to do well since my main gripe with Monster Hunter is a have to play it on a tiny screen that has awful graphics T_T The Wii U one was so good

Game looks pretty good.
Good graphics, battles work great and stuff, but I agree with the guy that this game needs some more visual feedback on hits, like a little splash of blood each time you hit the enemy.
Also, the movement speed could be tuned up a bit, because at the present state, it seems a little slow.
And finally, the sounds for the hit of the weapons doesn't seem to. -charming- to me.
Like, they're really trebly.
Could be a little more soft.
Still, this is a game that still makes me wish to play MMOs

Don't know how monster hunter, and this toy looks worse than god eater. Monster attacks slowly, play some idiots, fall under a very simple attack.
Music in General, for the battle is not suitable, like in god eater. I wish the developers a parody of Tetris created, can be turned.
God Eater however too lousy day with a lousy plot.

wonder how long it will take to get bored from looking for one big mob and then killing this single mob for long time. 3 days, ok ok 1 week, then what
i mean is this all this game about, looking for big monster, find call for friends kill it, then again looking for big guy over and over, nothing in between or i missing something?

Probably one of the best pre-alphas I've seen tbh, it all depends on where they take it from here. Character customization, better sound effects on the attacks that look so -heavy-, and perhaps a skill system like Dragon Nest (since the combat already looks as fluid) would be awesome but, it depends on the devs. Definitely hype tho

I really like the graphic style (art style, and the slow movement of the characters. I think it really sets it apart from other rpg games, which are usually more faster paced. I personally think the shadows are near perfect, although they are a bit too dark. Other than that I am definitely going to keep this game in mind.

Really hope they're planning to add more stages to this boss or make the fight shorter because right now it's a moveset of excessively telegraphed attacks that are all seen within a minute but the battle drags out for 13 more minutes with nothing new: p Probably need more abilities and methods of attack for the player too.

I recomend to put -lock camera on target- option. To pc is easy using mouse, but if you r going to use a X-box control. it would be nice to have target lock. And I love hunt soo I'm expecting a good track system, one that make u feel u r realy hunting. Maybe not in alpha but it would be nice to have in the future.

I think the 2 major things the game needs to improve on to truly be great are sounds and background. Without music and sfx, the Zinogre would be an awkward mess with no emotional attachment. The Jhen Mohran would not feel real if it were fought on a blank slate. If the game nails these, then it nails the genrem

Its getting cool but. the music. man, please. so boring and underwhelming. Needs to be more epic, needs more excitement!
The scratches on monsters its a really good addition to these type of games, but attacks need more impact, more visual appeal too. I want this game to succeed SO much.

Pre alpha or not, the monsters need to be more aggressive, engaging and attacking much faster than this. You just basically hang ar the rear of the beast and swing away. Moar speed: p! Beasts shouldn't allow anyone be that close without some serious risks of getting slapped hard

game needs a lot of work. I heard this was going to be free to play. I hope they use the warframe business model rather than a standard mmo model for monetization. I think fans of monster hunter would be rather annoyed if there was no way to earn and craft consmetics.

Knowing that this is suppose to be like Monster Hunter, I hope they fix some kinks and play style when finished. Like staggering/stun when hit to a slide. Faster recovery. x2 speed everything (or make it feel faster) Sprint, camera angles.

Something seems off. like why cant Western developers get combat right in games, its like they forget games like Devil May Cry exist and are templates for what you should do in an action game with this kind of combat.

You should add something like traps. imagine a game when you need to lure the beast to the trap and then attack it (It could be just optional) It would add more preparation than just rushing big behemoth.

That charged axe attack was the most impotent thing I've ever seen in a monster hunting game. I really hope they get the weapon animations and sounds correct, like they seem to have with this Owlbear thing.

Monster hunters depth starts with its weapons, is there any depth to the weapons here or do you just attack by pressing a button. If the weapons lack depth what in the gameplay loop will compensate?
