You know there was a made-for-TV movie in the 90s about a girl with a terminal (or at least potentially so) illness who wants to use her Make-A-Wish to see the Oval Office and meet President Clinton (who in 1993 signed into law the FMLA. though the MAW crew isn't so sure they can do this they do somehow are able to get her to see the Oval Office and sure enough. the big guy himself meets her in the movie!
Were there any other world leaders (current or former; Reagan and Trump obviously did before entering politics but that doesn't count) who made cameo appearances in movies/TV shows? As for First Ladies, let's see, this video shows Michelle Obama, the intro to Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue has Barbara Bush with George in the intro, Nancy Reagan was on a Dif'rent Strokes episode. any others who appeared on TV/movie?

One reason that Prince episode was the most-watched from New Girl's run was because it aired in the coveted post Super Bowl slot. Shows and networks hope that the large numbers of Super Bowl viewers will stick around, and air a special episode of one of their popular shows, or the premiere of a brand new one immediately after the Super Bowl program ends. And the lead-in from the Super Bowl is valuable.

You forgot about when james avery walked onto the family matters set. The audience damn near blew the roof off! Whats even better, that Reginald (Carl Winslow) didnt even know he was there until he walked in. Look it up. you'll see. Also on the jeffersons when billy dee williams showed up on there the same reaction happened with the audience.

Right. Prince on The New Girl. But I thought it was very unlike Prince to be standing behind that half wall 19: 27 -NOT DANCING. Something was not right. Then Prince did the Piano & a Microphone Tour which he played in the Bay area but cancelled the tour in LA. I planned to go that one. But the rest is history. All the signs were there.

I vividly remember Michelle Obama's appearing on _iCarly, _ as well as another favorite kids sitcom at the time, _Jessie. _ I eas so cool and surreal seeing the first lady on some of my favorite programs just being a regular persons. On _iCarly_ especially she felt fit right in with the rest of the cast.

I never really cared for Prince or his music - meaning I only to this day know a handfull of songs.
But when I started watching New Girl a few months ago, and when this episode came on, I was so amazed by his performance and appearance and at the same time so sad that he is gone now, that it really hurt me.

Most of these aren't cameos by defintion. It's not the sane as character arcs or guest star appearances. A cameo is usually someone who appears in just one scene. The Robin Williams and Billy Crystal scene from Friends is a perfect example of that, and the first one I thought of.

Fun Fact: Twelve Oscar winners have appeared on Friends in total. Helen Hunt, Robin Williams, Charlton Heston, George Clooney, Jim Rash, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Gary Oldman, Fisher Stevens, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon and Brad Pitt.
reply

I remember Kate Winslet on Extras in a Nuns Habit saying a sure way to win a Oscar was to be in a Holocaust Drama and Im pretty sure it was before she won the Oscar for The Reader in witch she played an ex guard at a concentration camp.

Although it's not A Sitcom, if being technical, President Obama removing A Mask On Saturday Night Live was The Biggest Surprise Cameo I've Ever Seen, or, at the very least One Of Them.
reply

The Charlize Theron cameo was perfect I bet it would work equally as well today it was hilarious from tiny teddy to him thinking she was a preschool teacher so funny I loved it
reply

If i remember rightly they decided to air that Prince episode of New Girl, directly after the Superbowl. So that most definitely contributed on why it did so well
reply

Michelle Obama is mentioned twice in the video as a politician, which she is not. Besides that, as others have mentioned here, some of the 'cameos' are actually guest stars.
reply

This is gonna be a very spoiler heavy but it's been years so I will say it lightly. But the one cameo that blew my mind was a Friends cast member in The Good Place.
reply

Dolly Parton on Designing Women as Charlene's (Jean Smart) Guardian Angel while she is in the hospital getting ready to give birth on New Year's Eve is classic for me.
reply

dolly parton hannah montana octavcia spencer wizards of waverly place little richard full house not mentioned george clooney noah wylie friends list keeps growing
reply

Shocked wasn't number one nor of the list.
Suzanne Pleshette on finale Newhart. The studio audience's reaction to the reveal says it all.

reply

A couple others that should've been on this list are Lita Ford aplearing on Herman's Head and William Shatner aplearing on 3rd Rock From The Sun

Cameo appearances are the best. And then you are like aww that was nice and sweet.
I mever knew Michelle Obama was on ICarly. Wow.

reply

You forgot the original cameo for sitcoms the Mery Tyler Moore show with Betty Ford then first Wife of the country on the phone with Mary
reply

you forgot to mention Sherri Lewis & Lamb Chop was on the Nanny & Little Richard was on Full House Kelly Clarkson was on Reba
reply

If youd go beyond relatively recent shows, youd remember First Lady Betty Ford appeared in a cameo on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
reply

I beg to differ. Robin Williams and Billy Crystal on Friends should be number one. There is no better surprise cameo for me.
reply

You should do the weirdest ones because there are weird ones that make 0 sense like on ICarly having the Pawn Stars Show up
reply

Joe B. still has comedic chops. Unfortunately we all have suffered And are suffering for them. Maybe sitcoms was his destiny.
reply

Did anyone seen sabrina the teenage witch the TGIF sitcom from the 90's because it had a bunch of cameos in every episode
reply

Arent these more classed as a guest appearance? I thought cameos were a real brief scene ( as in a few seconds / lines )?
reply

The Billy Crystal Robin Williams thing was a bit much. Both are legendary no doubt but this just didnt work for me
