TV Deaths That Seriously Angered Fans

TV Deaths That Seriously Angered Fans Big: I have seen tweets and posts from avid fans from many great TV series that they will get angry, and even said revolt (whatever that means in this context, if a beloved character is killed on their favorite show. I, too, hate to see characters I've come to care about die. But I don't like when fans--who mostly don't write stories--try to dictate to the show's creators who they can and cannot kill. In fact, if I was one of the show's creators, I would almost go out of my way to have that character killed off, just to flip the finger at an audience who thinks they can do my job for me, or try to lay ground rules for my own creation. For instance, I would have absolutely no hesitation in killing off Darrell, or even Rick in TWD if I felt it served the story. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of these two characters, but I would not let anyone tell me, let alone threaten me, to not kill off a character if I felt it needed to happen. And I'd just respond by saying, Hey, if you don't like it, don't watch it.

A bit surprised there was no mention of anyone on The Walking Dead, since there was at least one flash scene of that series. And yes there was a death in TWD that prompted me to stop watching for the rest of the season, but my sister just started watching and wanted to be able to discuss the latest when she got caught up so I agreed to start watching again.
Washburn died in Serenity (a movie) and shouldn't be classified as a TV death, although his death was still pointless, and that's offensive to the character in my personal opinion, but I'm not the guy being paid millions to make these shows.

When it comes to Buffy it's really just a matter of taking your pick. I was also very sad when Jenny Calendar and Tara were killed, and I wasn't entirely over the moon when Anya met her bloody end. Oh, and then Buffy herself died a couple of times! Oh, but that doesn't count, you say, because she came back both times. True, but when she died at the end of Season 5 I actually managed to block it out of my memory. Seriously, I somehow had no memory of it happening until Season 6 started. How do you explain that?

Idk why people get so butt hurt about tv deaths. Its part of the show and if it effects us then that's a good thing, it shows that they did a good job with getting us to care for its characters and all good things must come to a end. Its much better then a tv series never ever killing off any of its characters or good guys That's one reason I dislikes bleach and most other anime's, They never kill off any of the good guys so you always know every fight that the good guys win and the bad guys always lose.

The death of Colonel Blake on Mash was an important one because it signaled a shift into the show that Mash was becoming. It was now less about Goofy hijinx and more about being a dark comedy dealing with the tragedies of War. I was surprised when you said that future airings left out the scene where Radar informs the group about Blake's death because I honestly have never seen the episode without that scene.

With Buffy, Joyce should be Tara: people were upset when Joyce died - they were ANGRY when Tara died (see: Lexa, Bury Your Dead tropes. If you just want to make a list of impactful, shocking deaths then do that, but the title does say angry.
Major list omissions: Abbie Mills (Sleepy Hollow, Poussey (Orange Is The New Black, Glenn (The Walking Dead)

I was so pissed when they killed Spork in the Empire Strikes Kahn because he had to fix some poorly built mechanism on the Death Star that requires nuclear exposure in order to fix it, way to go Scooby. Except I was relieved when they froze him in kryptonite and brought him back to life in Star Trek Resurrection.

How could you miss Catherine Chandler (played by Linda Hamilton) from Beauty and the Beast after its second year? That death basically killed off the series the next year. The amount of pre-internet uproar dwarfed anything that had come before it including the death of Henry Blake in MASH.

You missed out Ianto Jones from Torchwood - a character whose death so upset and angered fans that for years afterward there was a shrine to him in Cardiff, complete with photos, floral tributes, poems and the usual stuff you find on a shrine when somebody actually did for real!

Game of Thrones fans were arguably more upset about the death of Shireen than the red wedding.
Why?
In the books Robb was already dead by the time the red wedding happens. His death was known among many.
Shireen, on the other hand, is very much alive in the books.
