LGR - Moon Patrol Apple II Game Unboxing

Ripping open the box to the Atarisoft Apple ][ game Moon Patrol VWestlife: I just got several sealed Atari games today, and I'm going to open up them all -- not just because I want to actually play them, but also because the shrinkwrap is shrinking over time and causing the cardboard box to bend inwards due to the pressure. Some are worse than others, but they are all starting to collapse slightly. And I have a sealed Activision game doing the same thing, so it wasn't just Atari's fault.

Atarisoft releases for the C64 (distinguishable for its green packaging) were just as cheap. Game, single sheet of paper folded over for instructions, and warranty/registration cards. Who could have guessed that these cheaply produced arcade ports were critical in establishing their respective computing systems in the market?

Niiiiiiiice. -dribble-
Felt a little bad when you staarted cutting it open (-Don't hurt it, don't hurt it! -)
I usually like to smell the poduct's before use. Just sort of adds to the awesomness feeling of the purchase. mmmmh. IT-nerds tend to be a little strange and I think I might be one.

OMG you did not keep in sealed in a box out off the light so in 20 or 30 years it might be worth something. LOL LOL LOL I bet you get emails for all the sealed game collectors. Nice vid never seen an what was inside an apple 2 game box, they are not very common here in the uk

Never knew Atari called themselves Atarisoft when they released games for other systems. Learn something new everyday. I wonder if they called themselves that so people wouldn't link them with the video game consoles since Warner was so obsessed with doing computers.

-MoreDakka101 If I could have found an unsealed copy, I'd have gladly bought it instead. Believe it or not, there are mostly sealed copies of these games on eBay. From what I understand, a bunch of this stuff was cleared out of a warehouse a while back.

It's interesting that you've mentioned smell. I was just sitting and thinking: -Holy shit-he's about to smell the 1982 air! - lol
Or -How would this box feel, if it could, to be opened 29 years later? -.
And no, I don't smoke pot lol

I usually like your videos, but what was the point of this? You never showed the game running? I know unboxing videos are well liked, but for the life of me, I have no idea why. I think I would rather watch grass grow!

I think it's a pity sealed things are opened. Unless the shrink wrap shrinks and ruins the packaging, surely it makes more sense to buy a second copy for what's inside, keeping the original more collectable.

-phreakindee I did not know that. Interesting. It's cool though. I'm somewhat the same way. I want to keep things nice and prestine but the want to play the game would eventually overcome me I'm sure LOL
