Sean Penn is a different kind of dude. but one I respect immensely. He truly walks the walk when it comes to life. I remember Hurricane Katrina, where he was wading through the waters going house to house with a shotgun looking for survivors. Then there's Haiti, where's he been heavily invested for more than a decade now since the earthquake and spends a lot of time there helping the people. And then there's hanging out with El Chapo, the most dangerous cartel boss at the time, and Sean Penn is riding around with him as if they're best pals. Yeah, he's definitely a man who sees and lives differently than most.

Sean Penn is a perfect example of how, in the 70's, few teachers considered that maybe a student got bad grades because they were hyper-functioning, (ADD) or had dyslexia, or a turbulent home life, or just had trouble assimilating to school, etc. Back then they just assumed you weren't very bright and assigned you vocational classes like wood shop or home economics, which only made your disinterest in school even more profound.

Charles Bukowski was accused of many things from hedonism to asceticism, perhaps rightly so, but his introspection and honesty (even if exaggerated) opened my mind to the field of thought that allowed me to step out into my own. Like the dirt that revealed the bridge in that leap of faith in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Or something like that. Without my shoes. Thanks, Sean.

This is not an insult to Sean but does anyone know if something is medically wrong with him I've seen him interviewed before and he was like this but before that he was just a normal dude. And don't tell me it's because he's old. Something seems really wrong with him. I tried to look it up but couldn't find anything. Again, not trying to insult the guy. I'm just curious.

I was not a big fan of Mr. Penn’s in his early years-I attribute that to MY lack of cool. But with the years, I have come to appreciate his talent. But I have a question: could he play Daniel Craig’s father Older brother Even some of his natural mannerisms are similarincluding his self-effacing smile at the audience.

Wow, he's quite articulate. I can listen to people like him talk all day. Her can hold my attention with his brilliant command of necessary details, necessary to him which is the entertaining part. His perspective is refreshing.

Of all the Penn’s films and characters, I got to say my favorite is the character, Cheyenne in This Must be the Place. Just weird and brilliant acting!
