I stopped buying pc games that require a separate account login or launcher on PC, UbiSoft included. If I want to play a game without wasting time on logins and updates I have to have all these launchers constantly running in the background.
They're draining my cpu, hogging bandwidth, spamming me with pop-ups and advertisements, cluttering my UI and for what To sleaze an extra buck. Should I opt to keep the UbiSoft launcher closed on reboot I'm waiting 15 minutes every time I want to play a game and by the time it's ready, I've moved on. I have so many games at my fingertips that are 1 click away.
You are ONE developer with a narrow library, not an e-store. You think you're Wal-Mart but you only sell socks and slim jims. Sure, there's a market for these things but you don't have the product line to justify your own real-estate. Park yourself in a mall next to a Cinnabon so I don't have to park twice.

I really wanted ac shadows to succeed, but now it seems impossible, I bought ac mirage on day one, but only have around 4 hours in it, guess I will just finish it after shadows drop. I think ubisoft games are really good for a 9 to 5 guy, cos you dont have to have be an expert in these games to beat them and its usually a great experience for someone new to gaming. They have had a couple of misses in past few years, but I thought they would get back up sometime soon, but they just refuse to evolve. what's the point of a new setting if we gonna have same shitty facial expressions, same dumb ai. atleast add more detail to environment to make the gameplay more immersive.

As for what they said about Shadows. if they truly cared about feedback they would heave never cancelled the story for the RPG and microtransactions.
I bet they delay because 1 people do get smart and stop pre-ordering stuff or they truly work to make it as good as they can cuz if this one fails as well there will be no level of shame that they can reach if they dare to release another AC named game.
As for JP timeline setting yeah all fans old or new wanted that but for me it had value while they held true to the main story(modern day) and since that's no more it has 0 value so i will not buy this game no matter what.

For what Ubisoft thinks and the way they treat us I wish nothing but failure upon them. But for all of the employees and inocent people below the ones that make decisions, I really hope they can turn this around and make AC Shadows be a success. (Although, that golden pot was already taken by Ghost of Tsushima when it launched and now Ghost of Yotei is gona rub it down even more, but hey, hope is the last thing to die, right)

I'm a little bummed about the Shadows delay, but can't deny it will probably be to the game's benefit. Before the delay the game was only about a month away and there hasn't really been any marketing for it. Hipefully they can juice the marketing, polish the game more, and hopefully make the game a bit more of a hit to lessen the dire straits Ubisoft have been in lately. Also I can put more time into Avowed now.

AC Shadows is going to be a huge flop. Ghost of Tsushima did it better and continues to be an amazing game in 2025. With the sequel coming out soon, who in their right mind would play a cheap Ubisoft alternative when you can play a vastly better game that got every single aspect of stealthsamurai gameplay right Not to mention that Ghost did it with one character, and AC had to split the two.

Yaske or whatever his name is, his slow heavy hit moves look so boring. I dunno, I have no excitement to play this character. The combat just looks boring. The stealth chic looks rad though. But everything about the big dude smashing through buildings, swinging a mallet, does not scream Japanese to me. I know its the biggest topic, but the gameplay just looks lame with that guy.

Ubisoft delays the game most likely hoping this buyout happens before its out as it will be a disaster it will be the first AC game i'll be skipping on i couldn't even care for last 2 to finish the story as there is so much stuff on the map -- anyway hope it shows other companies insulting customers and the JP culture in this case is not a good marketing move: )

JAKE my man. Ghost 2 is a PSN exclusive lol. They are tailoring this for the PC crowd, and they don't even care about PSN. This is for US PC guys. I jumped from PSN Last year never looking back so. It's much more fun and better looking than PSN although I still have a PS5 just in case Ghost 2 is out of this world good. Also, the Witcher 4 is coming out in March lol

I've stopped caring for AC games ever since origins came out and it won't change for this game. the sickness is in the company, the game qualities are just symptoms. Also there are lots and lots of other stealth games set in feudal japan. Missing out on this game won't make much of a difference

I'm excited for AC Japans ninja side. Parkor and stealth look great! It's the other side with the big brutish samurai that is really letting the game down for me. Maybe they are trying to do the whole AC Syndicate thing. But here it just don't feel right. I guess time will tell.

Assassins creed or any game delay's. Y care if they get released still buggy or glitchy etc n need day 1/2 or 3, 4, 5 updates to fix. Things. Like release it 2026 full game but no. Rush it, get $$$ oh yea & disappoint Long time Fans like they have been for yrs now. pure disgust bleh

Everyone loves to hate on Ubisoft. But the Ubisoft of 12 years ago would just release it to hit the autumn deadline instead of delaying it. The fact that it's been delayed twice is honestly a good sign. This legitimately looks like the most promising AC since Origins

I'm probably going against the current on this one, but normally I am not too interested in the Assassin's Creed games, only the older ones. However, AC Shadows does pique my interest. So I might actually try it out and see what kind of potential it might hold.

They're prepping for a push at the end of the fiscal Q1. They're already anticipating it's inevitable flop and the impending bankruptcy. If anything, it's proof that they're already writing this game off as an impending flop.

At this point, getting a hand held is cheaper than getting a new GPU for my system, not that the new NVidia GPUs are actually good, but anything would probably be an upgrade from my 980 at this point, still not a bad GPU, but time is catching up.

Pretty sure the odds of Ubi getting bought lines up with them delaying Shadows again. If they are saying one month to polish, that means a bunch of humans have to be overworked for a game that is more than likely going to suck. Lol

Its very likely AC Shadows is going to be a below mediocre game with a Japanese coat of paint. Ubisoft no longer has a full team that seems to actually know how to make a good game anymore. It will be Ubisofts version of Dragon Age Veilguard.
